You know what would have been great? If those stupid dragons would spawn in the older maps, not every time but every once in awhile you zone in on Tevinter 5 and BAM! Fire dragon spits on you...... Even a smaller version of the one in FC would spice up the weekend

so did the personal challanges and got the two chests, but there should then also be rewards from the varric thingy but no reward from that.

I just had a pretty easy pug frost dragon run with myself (keeper), two silent sisters and an arcane warrior. With all that barrier and guard, we didn't take damage. I don't know what their gear/promotions were.

 

My staff is rare with 107 dps, and I have 1/1/1 promotions. Do you think I could pug perilous? I really don't want to waste any time wiping.

Should be fine. Perilous has a pretty low barrier to entry now aday.

I was very happy to see that completing the match points challenge gave me 4 stars on the varric challenge as I am headed out of town and already had the 4 done form last week. With the ability to finish next weekend, I should be good to go.  I am interested to see what comes of the 5 star chest.  Anyone receive it yet?

my Varric Book 1 is finished too but I got 0, zero, no, keine chest from that challenge... didn't they promise us something special?!

The most important thing to do before you run perilous is to get the best armor or at the very least upgrade from the basic stuff.  I see people with starter armor all the time trying to do perilous and spending most of the time being carried literally from door to door as they die, fade, open door, run in, die, fade.......

The weekend challenges require too much grinding. Any time I even think about playing, I look at how much grinding is needed to get the weekend challenge, and decide to play something else.
