Is there a time limit for claiming victory chests? I show several on my challenge list, but none show up in the store.

 

Well, technically, there are two type of chests you get from weekend challenges.

 

You get a Commendation Chest for completing the agent goal. That is the personal goal. There is usually only one, but this weekend featured two - one was match points for completing matches and the other was dragon points for slaying high dragons. You could get a commendation chest for each of those, so two total. 

 

From what I understand, commendation chests can pile up, so you don't lose the ability to open them if you don't do so right away.

 

An extra monkey wrench was you are supposed to ALSO get a commendation chest for completing Varric's Book, under Agents of the Inquisition challenge. That is currently bugged and not dropping this weekend, but I imagine BioWare will rectify that tomorrow after they get in the office.

 

The other type of chest is the Victory Chest. You receive that if the community completes the community goal. Normally, this releases as soon as the community goal is completed and it IS time-limited. You must open it before the next weekend's community challenge goal is met or you will lose out on the loot. However, that also seems bugged this weekend and has not dropped for anyone. Again, I imagine BioWare will rectify this sometime tomorrow.

From what I understand, commendation chests can pile up, so you don't lose the ability to open them if you don't do so right away.

 

 

Not sure how to solve this though. I have tried to pile them up. But since the Victory chest has a time limit I would like to open those chests. But I can't scroll past one chest to another. 
And due to that I either have to skip the Victory ones and pile up on Commendation chests or open them all.

We're certain victory chests are currently time-limited? It might have changed, but I asked my brother to log on after a two month hiatus and he had 6 or 7 chests waiting for him. They had to have been victory chests since he didn't log on once in that time, right?

Managed to get my dragon points done after a few trials and errors (I hate demons. Hate, hate, hate.), so just waiting on the Victory pack and Varric's book chest. I need as much salvage as I can get.

 

Playing with Belinda alot this weekend give me demons all day erryday.   But I have developed a new hatred for the Venatori, I dare say easily my most hated faction now.

They used to be time-limited, at least.

 

To be honest, I feel like I don't really know what's going on with chests anymore these days. I remember that question specifically being answered by a dev, but your anecdotal story runs 100% counter to that.

It could have been shortly after Izzy and the gang came out.  Right after their release I went to study abroad for 2 months.  When I came back I had a stockpile of chests to open, as its being mentioned here. All the uniquely named Dragon Chests stockpiled alongside a victory chest.

I really hope next weeks challenge has something to do with dragons so that we can play that rarely played fereldan castle map.  Just as a change of pace.

My prediction is that the Varric story was going to culminate in the deep roads stuff.  Thus the deep roads stuff is not ready this no Varric reward.  Perhaps Varric will be a playable character?

Just give everyone the 3 chests and call it a day, trying to play catch up week after week only seems to lead to more problems.

We are working on sending the chests out now, we have nailed down the problem.

 

For an FYI, commendation chests can be stacked.  Victory chests are not time-limited but you can only have 1 at a time, so open those when you get them.
