I'm always surprised when I see people hate Mark of the Assassin lol you hate Tallis just say it :P I am glad to see so many like Legacy despite the usual hate DA2 get around here

I rate MotA lower because of its overdone style, and because we are made complicit with the Qun whether we like it or not. Tallis herself is ok, except they tried too hard to make her out-badass everyone else, including Hawke.

Legacy ties nicely into some of the most important mysteries of Thedas, and for that alone I'd like it, but it also sheds light on Hawke's background and it's generally well made, within what's possible in DA2.

1. Jaws of Hakkon - everything in this DLC was great. A lot of effort put in and with a good result.

2. Awakening - DA:O's big DLC didn't disappoint. New areas, good story, very enjoyable.

3. Golems of Amgarrak - don't know why people are hating on this. Superb boss fight and generally very challenging. Beating it on nightmare was very satisfying.

4. Stone Prisoner - this would've been higher if Shale wasn't just a rock copy of HK47.

5. Mark of the Assassin - qunari lore stuff! Also, wyvern fight was cool.

6. Witch Hunt - not exactly what I expected, but enjoyable nonetheless.

7. Legacy - completely ruined for me by the silly looking sword I got. Maybe it was better than I remember.

8. The Descent - makes DAI's combat really show where it's bad. Also, too many questions and too little answers. Too much baiting with this.

9. Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song, Warden's Keep, Exiled Prince - didn't leave a mark at all for me. Completely "meh".

I am curious with how you think the Descent made DA Is combat look bad?  Honest question because...well I was having trouble at times with my companions in combat in this DLC.

Mostly it's that the final fight of the DLC relies heavily on moving correctly, but your party is completely poo at moving and positioning. You're likely to see your entire team first empty your potion reserve and then die, unless you want to pause every goddamn second to make sure they haven't moved into deadly attacks (or move them out of others manually, as they won't on their own).

You know that fight really helped with having two rogues.  My tank and Mage went down but me and Sera was able to own the thing by just circling and circling.

I'm an avowed DA2 apologizer, so I'll just get that out of the way right now.

Legacy: Barring Lair of the Shadow Broker, probably some of the best DLC BioWare has come up with in terms of overall challenge, story, and writing.

Black Emporium: Now, I know a lot of people are going to raise a brow at this, but this put in some well needed options, especially in DAI, allowing me to change facial features and SELL TIER 4 MATERIALS. That alone was a godsend since the material dupe glitch was fixed(it was nice when the game didn't make you grind for everything)

Awakenings: I actually liked the story, and I have fondness for Sigrun and Nathaniel. Also, Awakenings Anders is the best Anders.

Descent: Good, leaves a lot unquestioned that I'm going to assumed will either be brought up in the next DLC or next game, but it was kind of a bait and switch when it was advertised as relating to the Darkspawn. I didn't. At all, which was a letdown.

Jaws of Hakkon: I wish there had been more of story, beyond at the very end, but what was there was good. Also, would've been nice if we were given more Ice Dragon Bone and Veil Quartz than for more than just one or two items. Put that **** in the Black Emporium, AT LEAST.

Golems: I actually liked the strange, color-related quests and overall creepy feel. Sorrynotsorry.

Shale: You buy it for the companion, not the quests that go with it. Shale is the best.

Ostagar: I got it for Duncan's weapons, but bringing closure to Alastair and Wynne was good.

Warden's Keep: Would be higher for the simple fact of getting the party storage chest. And Space Sword. This really SHOULD be higher, but everything else is better. I also liked the blood-related abilities.

Mark of Assassin: Sorry, I can't stand Felicia Day in any form. And her character looks kinda strange in the face. Only thing good about it was the challenging boss fight at the end.

Witch Hunt: **** that DLC. It is not worth your money for the whole two hours of gameplay and ten fsking minutes with Morrigan. Which in the end, tells you absolutely NOTHING. I actually LOST respect for BioWare after playing that because it came off as little more than a cash-grab.

Darkspawn Chronicles: Never played, also seemed like a cash grab, even if in a 'what if' scenerio.

Witch Hunt

Stone Prisoner

The Decent

Exiled Prince

The Golems of Amgarrak

The Darkspawn Chronicles

I think they are hard to rank as I've liked all of them. I seem to emphasis additions to the overall story, for example Ostagar fits the rest to game nicely, Golems and Decent are side quests, while Darkspawn obviously has no relevance at all.

I initially disliked Leliana's Song for not being a part of the game proper, but is has grown on me as Leliana's story has evolved.

Awakening probably should rank higher, but I was extremely frustrated by the bugs at the time.

And finally, Talis was a bit overdone, but the rest of the DLC was really good.

I found Awakenings to be badly paced. There were only two companions I cared about, and neither was Oghren. :)

There were several plot threads that came to an abrupt end for my taste like the conspiracy plot.

Click on things to get conversation rather than just talking to them.

And the less said about the Architect and the Mother the better. The former had the threat of wet tissus paper and that latter was just annoying.

Ah, different tastes then.

The Darkspawn Chronicles

To this day, I still have not played Leliana's Song all the way through so I won't rank it.

Little late to the party...but:

Just want to point out that Awakening and Darkspawn Chronicles are not DLC. Awakening was an Origins expansion (not connected to the Origins campaign at all), and DSC was a stand alone game.

Carry on!

Awakening: it is the best continuation of a story in the DA games period.

witch hunt: great set up for DAI although I am sure this was not its intention

stone prisoner: Shale is the best dlc compaion in bioware history..yes even better then javic

Darkspawn Chronicles: I seem to be one of the rare few that really liekd this one. I was fun to play as the bad guy for a change and take out the warden's compaions. Id like to see a few more DLC like this.

Jaws of Hakkon: best played after the main story and feels like the Inquisition is sticking around to fix the world instead of just giving up after killing the big bad.

Descent: a long awaited return to the deeproads and great look into the dwarven lore. loved the new temporary companions

leiliana's song: a nice little backstory for one of the companions but I would have liked them to do this with each of the companions from origins at the time.

Legacy: a simi good departure from the DA2 story with a nice little bit of backstory on Hake's father. a good way to set up Coryphious for DAI.

Mark of the assassin: not to horrible but not all the good I did like the jokes from Tallis and seeing more of the world of thedas

Exiled prince: Sebastian..a stick in the mud if there ever has been. so self righteous in everything he said and did.  verric said it best he was a choir boy

Golems of amagarrk : probably better in concept then what was released it had a lot of interesting ideas but was easily skippable and very forgettable.

Wardens keep: even the gear that you get was not worth the trip and was entirely pointless as you do not even get to use it as a replacement for the party camp. a waist of money and time for only a single power up and armor you couldn't take with you into any other dlc.

My list:

  1. The Stone Prisoner- Shale, Shale is the main reason this DLC is so awesome.

  2. Dragon age: Awakenings- Its a no brainer it was just amazing, I wish they would do more expansions. It revealed so much interesting lore and my favorite two characters before they were made to be the worst in DA2 (justice and anders) plus getting to oghren again and fighting by an awkened darkspawns side (i let him live so what) was awesome. The architect to was interesting, I sometimes let him live because reasons.

  3. Legacy- It was such an interesting story and Cory was interesting to, I also liked seeing the backstory of the Hawkes and the varied personalities of the Twins depending on if you made them grey warden or not. This DLC made me dislike warden beth and adore warden carver.

  4. The Descent- Depsite its flaws I liked the lore behind it.

  5. Jaws of Hakkon- I liked the story and meeting the previous Inquisitor, I also liked the indepth look into the Avvar. While it was unexpected I just like learning more about thedas.

  6. The exiled Prince-Sebastian. I know people hate him, i liked him, liked the quests that his dlc brought and loved his interactions with the companions.

  7. Return to Ostagar- It was a great story, a sad one really. It gave you a strange sense of closure.

  8. Wardens Keep- It was never used to its full potential and never mentioned again but I did like meeting the mage and the potion of blood power, it offered an insight into the wardens we had only herd of but never saw. (unless your a ruthless warden in which case you saw the darker side)

  9. Mark of the Assassin- never did like Tallis, not sure why but she didn't really grow on me. Did love the companion moments and seeing more of the Hawke twins, also having more Hawke talking with his/her companions helped.

  10. Leliana's song- It's not that i hated it I just was never sure why it was needed really, apart from building upon Leliana's background.

  11. The Golems of Amgarrak- I'm never to sure about this one and the ending was plain silly but I did like exploring the deep roads again.

  12. Witch Hunt- Not enough Morrigan and the companions annoyed me. But the lore was really interesting

  13. The Black Emporium- Strange addition I admit but I always loved the store, theres just something about it.

  14. The Darkspawn Chronicles- Played it once got bored, was interesting to see the darkspawn side of things but eh never again.

  15. Then you have your cosmetic stuff, so far the best cosmetic stuff (at least to me is the Avvar and DA2 stuff)

1. Dragon age Awakening: Best of all. An entire questline, new maps to explore, good companions and improved gameplay compared to Origins

2. Mark of the assassin: I liked the DLC in itself. Tallis is still an filthy Mary sue

3. Jaws of Hakkon: Better then I expected. While the story is short, the map is very pretty, the lore you learn about the Avvar is interesting and an high dragon boss is aways welcome in my book.

4. Legacy: descent storyline, but all the companion interactions make this DLC great, especially with the Hawke simbling.

5. Leliana song: Great atmosphere, fun characters, and a good main story.

6. The stone Prisioner: Not much to say, only that it adds one of the best companions in the game.

7. Warden keep: Nice enough storyline. But the rewards are the best part. Starfang and the warden commander armor were the best.

8. Return to Ostagar: It's alright I guess. Nice loot, especially king Cailan's armor.

9. Witch hunt: Not enough Morrigan, otherwise it would have ranked higher. But on the plus side, I liked the companions and the DLC also allows an happy ending for Wardens that romance Morrigan.

10. Black Emporium: Inquisition emporium is awful, Xenon sounds different and Thedeus and the Urchin are gone, meh

11. The exiled prince: I dislike Sebastian in general, but the storyline is pretty average in general

12. The Darkspawn chronicles: An combat focused DLC for Origins?! That's madness. But it is interesting to see what became of the major characters if the warden was not present during the events of the game.

13. Golems of Amgarrak: I don't mind the difficulty, but the stunlocks were cheap, the companions were awful and the story was weak).

Still have to play descent, waiting for an price drop, so I can't give it a proper score yet.

From best to worst?

1. Legacy - Hand's down the best Dragon Age DLC, easily rivalling the writing, pacing, story and overall quality of the best Mass Effect DLCs - world changing new lore, excellent dialogues, great environments, improvements to combat over the base game...
"The City! It was supposed to be golden! It was supposed to be ours!" line, is worth the price of admission alone.

I agree, we got to relieve the days of cutting through heaps of darkspawn, we learned that the chantry doesn't lie about everything and that darkspawn were truly crazy vints, and we got a nice final fight and equipment.

It's overall the only reason I bothered to go through DA2 again... Although compared to Citadel or Shadow Broker falls short imo.

After that I'd say Awakening as we got a lot of new lore and even gave a whole new picture to darkspawn.

Jaws of Hakkon and Mark of the Assassin tied next

The descent

Leliana's Song and Witch Hunt are also tied for me.

Exiled Prince was dull because of Sebastian itself, and Stone Prisoner forced me to side with Caridin to keep the second best tank of the series. (honours go to Divine Victoria who only died once in all my playthroughs)

Golems of Amgarrak, Ostagar, Soldiers' Peak and Darkspawn Chronicles were just idem to me... I barely even remember what happened in Golems
