Same here. This is honestly the most retarded system I have ever used. I followed the instructions on the card provided with the game exactly and now it turns out that ****ing years ago an EA account was linked to my Gamer Tag and now because I redeemed the codes on the site (like the slip says) I can't get my DLC.

Gee thanks EA & BioWare, way to ruin the first experience of playing the game.

I have the same issue as SirDerb, my xbox never prompted me for anything, and now when i try to link on the EA site,my live ID is in use.  i have no clue what or when i could have created some other ea acct with my live id, when i ask it just says @hotmail.com  i've only ever had one hotmail acct.

i am trying to get the collectors DLC and i cannot link my XBL tag as it keeps telling me its been taken so i cant get the DLC

Any help pls

all i get is   Sorry, that Xbox LIVE Gamertag has already been taken. Please try another one.but i have not got a ea account so how can it be taken

You entered your EA account in-game through Mass Effect 2?  If the gamertag is still not linked up make sure that your tag is not already linked up to an old EA account.  Otherwise it won't show up like you said, retry signing in through the ME 2 game and then go to the redeem code page to see if it's linked.

i dont think i entered it in game, all i did was go to the website and enter the promo and buy the curberus network and my gamertag is linked to the right email on the ea website but it isnt coming up on the mass effect website

The problem I am running into is my XBL email account is different than my email account that I used for EA.com when I started this. So now when I try to link my EA account I get the wonderful error of -

So I went on the EA.com support site and sent off an email and am hoping for the best.

a little too late i used my one code on another acount and used the cerburus on the original account without realising..



can i still use the account with the armour code and link it to a new account even tho my cerburus is another gametag (mostly used one)

So if I redeem the code for the armor does that mean all family members using the xbox 360 can get the armor or only me? My sons account says its too young for cerberus. does that preclude him from the bonus equipment?

Ok so my gamertag shows up under my social email which is a gmail acct at the ea website and bioware social also has my gamertag and gmail acct I should be able to redeem my dlc even tho it is not using my windows live ID?

Yes, Echo, you should be able to. I just hope the advice about creating a new gamertag works; whoever designed the Cerberus system for Console ought to be fired. Out of a cannon. At a nice, thick, stone wall.

WT*, my stuff is linked and i'm even linked on ea, but my mass effect and ea accounts aren't linking. It says that my xbox gamertag is "none." My ea accounts says my gamertag and reads my xbox. I had set up everything fine except masseffect.com still wont recognize my system. Any1 know how to resolve this cause I emailed ea.com twice and tried live chat twice but I end up waiting for an hour starring at my computer than it says "request denied" when finally its my turn.

Freitas, sometimes it takes a while for the website to update. If it's been like that for a couple of days, the only way to resolve it is to contact EA.

It turns out, my account was linked to an old email of mine. however, i had changed my gt's email a long time ago to a new one, and i am still having trouble with my registration. I registered them(dlc Cardz) to my new email, but i was unaware that the gt's were not updated. to be honest, i have no memory of linking the gt to the old email. is there anyway anyone could help me with this? it seems that EA support is refusing to answer my questions... so should i just change my email on my current account, make silver account, register to my email ea account (w/ dlc) to get dlc for my xbox or am i flatout four ways f****d when it comes to getting the dlc from preorder.

I just want to see if bioware (or any one else who had this problem) can help before doing something that could make the situation worse. not to mention EA has been no help, so any (helpful) input is greatly appriciated. thanks

I brought DA for pc when it first came out and used my code for the dragon armor but my 360 gamer tag was linked to another account is there a way to get my dragon armor over to the other accout or has EA just screwd me over >_<

Basically my situation is as follows: I had an EA account previous to this, when i signed in, it prompted me to enter valid usernames of PS3, Xbox, etc. I entered my Xbox Live Gamertag and it says that its already taken? I've never registered my Xbox Live Account with EA so I don't see the issue here... help?

^ I never registered my account with EA before and I had the same issue. I sent EA customer support an email and got a response four days later =[ Fortunately they fixed the problem and now  my Gamer-tag is linked with the EA account. Unfortunately I redeemed my code before this issue and now I'm SOL with the DLC I got with my pre-order!  This whole thing is highly annoying especially considering I only pre-ordered the game specifically for the DLC. Why they couldn't just have you download the DLC via Live Marketplace is beyond me.

I have decided that rather than swear and complain about being unable to redeem my PURCHASED collector items that I am going to file a complaint with the BBB.
I emplore you to do the same. it will take 5 minutes and MAYBE this will garner some much needed attention.

I have used all the tools available to me, even submitting a complaint on the EA support forums. I have had NO reply for over 7 days.

i purchased a Collector edition of Mass Effect 2 and attempted to claim the collector armor and weapon via the code.
I
see where the problem I encountered lies. The EA site login was
required to claim the items (for the XBOX 360 version). By default my
computer logged me into ONE of my EA accounts, but not the correct one
associated with my 360. Thus my code is now invalid.

Please assist me in utilizing my code.

BOTTOM of the page, easily missed. could this be moved to the top?

the instructions on the card to redeem the code are not very
informative. they instruct you to claim the code via masseffect.com
where it is not possible to see what EA account you are utilizing
either.

I did the same - made an account and accidentally redeemed my inferno armour on it - discovered I already had one linked to my gamer tag from an old game. I used EA chat at 4AM GMT and got through in 20 minutes then got given a new inferno DLC code. Was great and quicker than phoning up.
