After seeing this thread, I decided to check if my PSN ID / dragon age account was under the same email account (I have a Ps3, 360 and a PC) ...and I realized that I have my PSN ID registered under an old email address (I used it when I played burnout paradise in PS3 long ago) and my current dragon age account is under another email address, meaning that I have 2 separate EA accounts, one associated with my PSN ID, and another associated with my dragon age game.

..And now , I don't know what to do, I would prefer to have my PSN ID registered with my dragon age account, and after that I'll add my gamertag when my ME2 arrives, but I'm completely lost on this one..there is a possibility to merge my 2 old accounts to have everything under one account? With two EA accounts I don't know wich one I'll use to add my gamertag persona.

EDIT: After searching a bit on the EA forums, I realized that EA cannot merge accounts, so here I am, stuck with two EA accounts: one used with my dragon age PC Game, and another one with my PSN ID (I created it when I played burnout paradise 2 years ago), so wich one I'll use to add my gamertag persona when my ME 2 arrives? ah well, at least I know that I have 2 separate EA accounts

EDIT2: (this is getting boring, isn't it? :innocent: ). After seeing the .pdf with the cerberus network instructions I decided to add my gamertag persona to my dragon age PC account, wich is linked with this site, it's a shame that I cannot add my PS3 ID persona on this account, though :crying:

Anyone having problems with their ea account and the Persona and gamtearg issue, go to ea support/chat, and in the chat they solve the problem.

Mine is fixed now

I had the same problem that I couldnt get my Collectors armor/assault rifle in my game.

Turns out my gamertag was linked to my old EA account so I also got the error "gamertag already in use" when trying to link it with my new EA account.

So.. I've been in the EA chat support and asked the person to remove my gamertag from my old EA account ( Wich I use for PC games only ) and add it to my new EA account ( Wich I use for Xbox 360 games ).

But now my cerberus access has been revoked and I have to spend another 1200 microsoft points to re-gain access since the code in my box has obviously been used before all this trouble.

So... did i gain anything in the end? i don't know... All i know now is im pretty pissed off the way things ahve been organized.

I severely hope EA never does a code redemption service ever again. I am
extremely dissatisfied because they made this so insanely difficult to
link my Gamertag to this account. Why couldnt they be like everyone else
on Xbox Live and just make a simple code you can put in on your Xbox
Marketplace?! Why do we have to create and link up several different
accounts for one thing?! Its completely stupid and i hope they can just
allow us to put in the codes on our own simply on our xbox and save over
4 hours of work.

Hello,

I was having the same problem but I've talked with EA support, via chat, and they resolved my problem.

I've said that I wanted to merge my two EA accounts, because my XBOX 360 Gamertag was associated with an old account.

I also asked to link my gamertag to the new account.

Hope it works for you guys too.

So unecessarily confusing. If EA had been more clear about this since way before the game came out none of this would have happened. Now, I used my terminus armor code on my bioware social email without knowing it had to be linked to an EA account I last used three years ago and screwed myself out of an awesome heavy weapon. Also, I am still dealing with this "unreadable disc" error you get with some DLC messing with the game and not even letting you into the start menu. This is complete and utter BS. All I want to do is play the game, but I just got done deleting all of my save files and starting fresh just to get to the start menu. I hope I don't get far again and that bug kicks in again(which I suspect is NOT a bug, but deliberate). Ugh, so much drama to have fun in a virtual environment.

This is really a pain being bounced back and forth between two websites and a console for some DLC. If the first Mass Effect wasn't the best game I ever played I would have returned this to the store already...

My Xbox Live email account is the same as my EA account. Am I missing something? Or am I good to go? (I have yet to play ME2)

EDIT: I just verified that my EA account is in fact linked to my gamertag. Guess things are better than I thought. I don't really remember linking them, though.

OK, so please somebody tell me if I'll have any problems with the Cerberus Network, provided the following information:

1) The account under which I'm typing this very sentence, my Xbox Live account, and my EA account all share the same ONE email address.
2) I can see that my XBL gamertag is linked to my account here on this forum.
3) I can see that my XBL gamertag is linked to my EA account on their website.
4) I have not received my copy of
Mass Effect 2 yet, so I don't  know what my code is or anything. And I don't intend to activate it online, but through the game menu once I get my hands on it.
5) The email address mentioned earlier has my age as 19 years old, which is my real age. Is there a possibility that I get some sort of age restriction message when I attempt to enter the Cerberus Network?

6) I can confidently say that I have no other EA accounts that are linked to my XBL gamertag whatsoever. I only have a single other EA account for the PC game Spore, and it is NOT linked to my gamertag. In fact, it uses a different email address.

Again, I have not received my copy of ME2 or anything. Someone -- preferably the OP --  tell me if there's anything I need to verify or do before playing the game.Posted ImagePosted ImagePLEASE...

Triple post, sorry, but one last question:

Does my BioWare account and my EA account have to share the same username?

My Spore account, which is not linked to my gamertag and therefore will not be used in ME2, shares the same name as this account I'm using on here. While my other EA account, which is linked to my gamertag, uses a different username. Am I missing something?

Wow this was posted 5 days ago sorry I haven't been coming back here to check for updates.

No your Bioware and EA account are not the same. The only thing that matters is the EA account, also I do not believe you will get an age restriction message with the Cerberus network card either. Just activate the game in-game since you're sure everything is appropriate and you should be good to go. Sorry it took so long to respond.

My CE copy was a wrapped gift from the wife.  Just started playing on the weekend, on my admittedly craptacular 27" standard TV.

Text: extremely unreadable.  Particularly if there is anything light behind it.

I liked the idea of mapping a control to alter the UI text colour.

How hard would that be to implement, either as DLC or a patch?

(And please, PLEASE make the text configurable for ME 3)

Please, where can I send a complaint to resolve the problem we have with Mass Effect 2. I have the content in one place and can not bind me Gamestar. I tried to e-mail, but nothing and the phone is always busy.

Has anyone had the problem that the media is in an account Bioware, but not linked to any Gamestar.

Who can I contact???

Try to get connected via EA chat, but you can only do it by contacting EA support, there is no alternative.

Okay, so I've got content on my HDD that I'd like to share with my brother. We play on the same HDD, the same system, use the same exact game disc. I just don't think he should pay $15 for the Cerebrus Network...not to mention that the Microsoft Points I have to use for Kasumi DLC is under his gamertag...I'm sure it'd be a horrible mess if I bought the DLC under his gamertag.

I'm just curious if I can link his gamertag to my EA Account, and if would simply fly over all the horrible problems I'm having with the Cerebrus Newtork, Blood Dragon Amror of Mass Effect 2, Blood Dragon Armor for Dragon Age: Origins, The Stone Prisoner DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, and what I suspect would be a problem with the Kasumi DLC for Mass Effect 2.

I redeemed my code before logging onto live, and my live and ea account had different email log ins. I deactivated/deleted my ea account. Then I tried to make a new ea account so everything would be linked properly, but it doesn't let me because of a message saying: "connection with the mass effect 2 server was interrupted. try again later" ????

Also does that mean that whatever codes I have redeemed would be lost forever? Can I get someone to help me, because I spent a bit of extra money getting all those codes. Thanks in advance.

If I have successfully linked my Dragon Age game to my EA account. Why can't the same be said with the Mass Effect 2 stuff? I can't seem to get the game to upload to my social profile here.

They don't share the same email, but all the DLC is working perfectly.
