It occured to me while playing Descent, and especially in the aftermath of Descent, that the BioWare team missed the boat.  Sure it is very difficult to imagine the Dragon Age being called anything other then the Dragon Age...its cool...its symbolic...it may have something yet to do with the plot...literal Dragons are reawakening.  But wouldn't the Age of Awakening been better?

After all one of the central themes about Dragon Age Inquisition, and indeed all of Dragon Age to this point...they just needed two games to set up all of this stuff...has been the discovery and exploration of Ancient History.  Including many examples of Ancient History coming to light for the first time.  Many events that have happened during the Dragon Age have not had a similar occurence in centuries.

Another Blight/ The awakening of an Archdemon.

The first Dragon Attack in centuries and Dragons again becoming a threat.

The revealation of Sentient Darkspawn likely lead by one of the Magisters that assaulted the Golden City.

All that stuff that happened in DA 2 in regards to those scrolls.  (I think its relevant.)

The awakening of Corypheus from his prison, confirmed to be one of the Magisters who assaulted the Golden City, confirming part of the story as being true if nothing else.

That Arlathan was destroyed by the Elves.

Red Lyrium is people.

Lyrium being alive.

ANd now Lyrium being the blood of a giant creature who *lives* under the surface of Thedas.

Titans which have been hidden from the Orzamar memories.  (apparently the Chantry isn't the only one who burries history), which who have now been 'disturbed' for the first time in...centuries?  Millenia?  And a whole new look on the lore implications of Thedas especially the Dwarves.

And then Ameridan...all the stuff that happened with him and Hakkon.

Dragon Age seems to all be set to challenge the character's and races preconceptions.  By revealing the past and showing that we really do not know everything we think we do.
