I was recently told that when you have the proc that your target explodes for x% damage on kill that the damage is based off of the killing blow.  So if you use say deathblow at low health it is an explosion for massive damage vs killing them with a regular attack for small damage.

My question is does the same rule apply for procs like hidden blades or immolate?

I think explode on target kill has special rules, it ignores some types of scaling. I think if a skill has a conditional damage increase, like let's say Isabella's Ambush damage bonus, I don't believe it will count that.

Other procs scale exactly like your normal abilities, their damage is independent of the damage of the attack that triggered them.

Ok so if hidden blades procs for 100% weapon damage, it would effectively just add roughly the same as 6 regular attacks regardless of what attack you used when it was triggered.  (or however many it says in the weapon description)  Am I understanding that right?  Because I really am gunning for that silencer dagger and curious how it will work with things like toxic cloud.

Yeah. Though I believe the Hidden Blades proc is 3/4/5 depending on rank (silencer is the 5 version) for 100% weapon damage each, so it's equal to 3/4/5 weapon attacks (excluding the rune of course).

Description says procs hidden blades but does not say at what damage level with 5 additional hits.  Since hidden blades is 3 hits as a base shouldnt that be 8 hits total?  Granted descriptions and reality don't always match up.  Even at just 5 hits I would still be happy though.

Procs are nerfed versions of skills.
