I'm just not feeling combat roll, like not at all. It's so lackluster when compared to what other characters have.

Those are the basics. If you're not surviving, it is your fault for not CR'ing away.

Some what I find it difficult to survive given how full guard lasts two hits in total... I mean, unless you pay SO MUCH attention that you never get hit by anything...

 

I really have issue with guard with 50/50/50 stats... Unless I have at least 4 defence passives like Lego or templar, I struggle. Sadly Katari only has adamant available... I often end up dodging all the time with Katari or I die pretty quick.

 

I love to use lego or templar in NM, just walk around and use basic attack for the whole match, (Well I'm just going to pretend skills like shield wall, walking fortress or horn of valor don't count...) until I'm so bored that I fall asleep and woke up find my team mates in deep trouble because they stole my aggro... Easier with Lego because you can just taunt them back, but much harder with templar.

you can survive with avvar but not katari better in NM? oh boy...

I can build a defensive Avvar if you want me to? Just don't count me on anything other than freezing mobs...

Btw I noticed that I don't get chilled defence from red templars at all. Even if I freeze an archer completely and some mobs are very obviously chilled. Anyone else got the problem? I love Avvar while chilled defence is active and I can tank like a templar no problem. (Lego is a different story all together.)  But sometimes the passive just don't proc up when they supposed to
