Hello,

I installed the Black Emporium DLC (on PS4) after finishing the main campaign and only paid the shop a quick visit. When I read about the "Staff of Corruption" schematic I went back to buy it before playing Jaws of Hakkon. But the Black Emporium isn't selling any of the tier 4 schematics as far as I can tell. The most expensive schematic is for a some melee weapon and only costs about 7500 Gold. My character was level 24 before the Jaws of Hakkon and is level 27 afterwards. But the shop still doesn't sell those schematics.

Has anybody else experience this problem?

Kind regards

I could be wrong, but I don't think the BE ever had any tier 4 schematics for weapons, only armour (and I'm not 100% on the armour). It is kind of annoying. The Staff of Corruption is tier 3.

Okay. But the "Staff of Corruption" is still not available for sale. I've checked multiple times. I've also checked multiples times whether I already bought it and I haven't. There should also be other Weapon Schematics for ~16,000 Gold available but aren't.

There are two tables with schematics: Emporium's Schematics and Emporium's Schematics of Legend. Have you checked the second one?

Nope, I hadn't. I had completely missed that there are two tables next to each other. Thanks for the help.

The Staff of Corruption Schematic was however disappointing. While I could built a staff with slightly more DPS than my Master Archeron Staff the lack of upgrade slots made it less appealing overall.

I'm currently using the Staff of Corruption. It may lack upgrade slots, but like other weapons, it's granted more starting slots to compensate. I gave mine +56% attack (so actually quite a bit more DPS) and a good bit of critical chance for Flashpoint use. I have a total of 94% attack with that staff, so I actually do almost double the damage that is listed. Pretty good, I'd say.

Disappointing?  The Masterwork Archon Staff schematic has two utility slots and 2 less weapon damage materials, staff of corruption is much better.

Even compared to the other good staff, Wrath of Lovias, you only lose out on a grand total of 4 materials if you use the Staff of Corruption and that's only if you have Masterwork Tier 3 grip and blades schematics.

Staff of Corruption 20+6+12, 38 materials.

Wrath 20 materials, + 9 and 9 from tier three grip and blades (38) or 20 + 11 and 11 from Masterwork Tier 3s (42).

And if you're using a lot of damage over time abilities, you're better off with Corruption, since the DoT ticks don't crits any ways.
