Least: Frags
Favorite have to be cluster nades because of their ability to make Phantoms fly high. Least maybe multi frags and homing because rarely use them.
Favorite: frag grenades. Between the sound, the animation and the fact they are close-range, I find them very satisfying. Almost therapeutic against Geth, I'd say.
Least: homing grenades. Never managed to use them properly - either stuff dies while they're still mid-air, or they do a measly amount of damage.
Least: Lift nades..cuz they haven't lifted she-i -it in the past 2 years..My AssGuard specd out of them..My Krentinel..specd out of them....just ..they are boring...and dont kill anything.
Sounds like L2P issue.
+) Lift 'Nades.
They are the proper seasoning for every melee massacre with my Krentinel. Before or during, nothing like a pinch of lift 'nades to damage their shields, and headbutt the heck out of them. Or simply CC. Or even, stopping dead in her track a phantom with a well aimed lift 'nade behind her, coupled with a Graal Shot. After that, steamroll over like a madman, while now helplessly, she has her barriers decimated.
They may be not the best at dealing damage, but ehi, 1) they taste blue and 2) A 'nade in your face is the proper introduction as a Krogan, before an headbutt on the same spot.
-) Multi Frag 'Nades.
Don't misunderstand: good damage, very helpful... but I never got any true satisfaction from them. Carpetbombing is useless when you have a full auto shotgun with you. I think I'll spec out of them on my Destroyer. They lack some... oomph!
They prime with evo 5b: fire damage
No, they don't. ![]()

The first comment made me frown slightly, the second made me smile, and the third gave me a real chuckle, as it borders on Krogan porn. Glorious Krogan porn. ![]()
I can spec the Krentinel without Incinerate, I can spec him without Lift 'nades. Heck, I could probably spec out of both and he'd still be my favourite character - this game needs nothing more than a Claymore, an Omniblade and a forehead to make it the greatest thing ever, but alternating between Incinerate and grenades as the method of reload-cancelling the Claymore is just the cherry on the icing on top of the biggest cake ever.
When I'm not in character, I will happily concede that Clusters and Arcs are the best, but I'm not skilled with either of them (not that much skill is actually required with Arcs - I just don't play those characters much). Infernos may be regarded as the scrubbiest of the lot, but they're my favourites because BatSol and KroSol. ![]()
Honourable mention for what a properly-specced QFI can do with Stickies. Her melee is potentially the hardest-hitting in the game, so if you're playing her up close and personal anyway, the Stickies won't miss - doing base damage of 3520 without Armour or Sabotage bonuses applied. At the risk of sounding like a Volus, that is.... impressive.
I really don't dislike any of them as they all have their niche. Frags are the most conventional I guess, so are relatively boring compared to the others.
If you're not just looking for AOE exploding cheese then homing nades have some good utility. On my TSab I use them like I would ballistic blades on my batarian. They work beautifully on dragoons to interrupt their no-cooldown smash.
Clusters are my least favorite. Clusters are also my most favorite.

Whatever floats your boat and tumble your sheets: incinerate is not... my thing I suppose, on melee Krentinel. And the Graal is basically roleplaying for me. But a Krentinel without lift 'nades... dunno If I could. It feels so wrong.
Like being sad after a kill streak. Or a day without blood and sun...
With a quad of lift 'nades and a Graal with omniblade (with a spoon of hydraulic joints), I'm ready to cackle like a madman, painting the map red.
Also... tech armor!

I ignored Incinerate for the longest time, and still regard it as far from essential, but Krogan Passives are average at best, so are probably even less essential. I'd say it's worth having it for those occasions when you're holding the line on objective waves or you have the misfortune to find yourself on Rio.
I would use a Graal all day every day if I hosted, but I usually don't, so the Claymore is the obvious alternative choice, although the KroSol gets the Graal whether I'm hosting or not. With the Claymore, I find 66606 is my most effective Krentinel build, with Berserker Package as my preferred Gear option. Mrahahahaha..... ![]()
Sounds like L2P issue.
Sounds like I got bored with lift grenades. Besides all my Krentinel really needs is his Graal, Omni-blade, Incinerate & Tech Armor.
Favorite: Inferno never gets old watching cerberus and collectors do the hot hot hot dance.
Least: Cluster nades. No matter where or how I throw them they always seem to bounce in a way that every enemy winds up in the 2 cm safe zone
Proximity Mines are my favorite grenades.
They prime with evo 5b: fire damage
They don't. Homing grenades only detonate, they don't prime.
My favourite grenade is the Vanguard, preferably the Kroguard, my least favourite the Homing grenade.
Favorite: Arc or Cluster, b/c QME and Drelldept
Least: Homing grenades, b/c homing grenades
Favourite: Sticky
Least: Arc

Yeah, I always spec into Incinerate on the Krentinel. Usually just 3 ranks. I don't worry about the cooldown, just shoot it whenever its cooldown is over. It can be a good reload-hider depending on what weapon you're using. It can make enemies dodge or stagger if you need them to do that. It can detonate and prime explosions. All more valuable than 10% extra damage on a weapon that I'm using more often as a club anyway.
Favorite: Lift Grenades. Buff the damage up and watch everybody die. I love it on my Asari Vanguard.
Least: Homing, cause of the long drawback before landing on a target
For those of you that mentioned Arc nades being your least favorite, care to share why?
I'm legitimately curious, this isn't a hidden attempt to troll anyone.
Probably because of the same reason we love them: cause they're shittily broken...For those of you that mentioned Arc nades being your least favorite, care to share why?

10m radius, primes and detonates, goes through walls, instant impact (no need to worry about bouncing and stuff), staggers more than half the enemies in the game.
In other words, it's broken (one of the most broken powers in the game). I can understand why people like it (because it decimates stuff) but I just don't like those kinda powers.

Well, when you put it like that....lol.
I'll still keep using it for those FE's with muh QME and be happy. Dat radius ![]()
Incendiary grenades used in conjunction with a high dam or ROF weapon with Incendiary ammo, totally breaks this game.
Clusters are the coolest, and also highly effective.
I used to use the QMI a lot 2 years ago, but haven't touched him in a long time. Something about cloak / arc grenade is ridiculous ...
There are no bad grenades, Sticky grenades probably require the greatest skill level to use.
