I played two games with the Drell Adept last night, for maybe the first time in more than two years. I cheesed it with Grenade Gear to go with my Talon + Power Amp + Adrenaline. I haven't felt so dirty in a very long time. I don't mean that in a good way either, and am wondering how to gimp my build so as to actually make him interesting to play - speccing into Pull or going for a melee build seem like options. I guess I'm just not much of a grenade spammer. Nice coat though. ![]()
As for the Grenades themselves, on PS3 at least it seems to me that Reave + Clusters is quite ridiculously more OP than anything the KroSol or BatSol can achieve with Incendiary glitching.
I don't even use characters that have grenades anymore..I have no idea why, I just stopped for some reason. Only one I do use is FQI..even then I forget to throw her sticky's and I even spec up to rank 4 in them..I know, meh.

Reave + Clusters is far more OP on mooks, especially if you can get to spawns before they disperse. Incendiary + Inferno Nades is far more OP on heavy armored enemies.
EDIT: Anyway, this is a way that I like to play the DA that isn't OP at all, and is very fun. Valiant Drell Adept. Grenades become more of a weapon of opportunity and an oh-crap button, rather than something you can spam.

Yes, playing with cluster nades to the face is real dangerously OP. One main thing holding me back from playing the 2 Drells & Batarian Adept. Hard to resist to just bounce em around everywhere because you've got 'em.
I usually start modest, but as the waves go by, them clip packs get used more and more.
But the main issue I have with nades is the constant ammo box routes OCD syndrome. Practically makes it a game on it's own. One I'd rather avoid. And one main reason I still play Destroyer without nades every now and then.

^ But, but, pugs love shooting armour. And for you to just steal their kill they've been working on for minutes while rage geling each time that lone Canibal has been shooting them in the back that whole time with a single cluster ball combo. Well, that's just rude. I'd never do that. >_>;;
(K, my face is almost on all of page one. Think I can retire having relived my nostalgic BSN memories)
I don't see how being able to kill any armored enemy in the game beside the 4 bosses in less than 2 seconds (with a decent gun) can be considered any less effective than whatever incendiary glitching will allow you to achieve...
And by "decent gun", you mean Claymore, right? ![]()
Anyway, you can do the same thing with Inferno grenade glitching (assuming Claymore use, of course), and the Inferno glitching seems (to me) to work faster on the heavier armored enemies. I haven't actually tested it though, just speaking from experience. Plus, the Inferno glitching is easier to do at longer ranges, where Cluster grenades tend to spread out erratically.
I guess I shouldn't say "far more OP" though - it's just a little more OP.

Favourite: Stickies. Bring back fond memories of Halo PGs and CoD semtex, and can be powered with ammo to either oblierate armoured targets within a couple seconds (including OHKing gold Ravagers) from quite a distance away, or give tech bursts that decimate groups of toasters. Highly effective, yet often maligned because L2P. I only wish that succesful hits resulted in "OhshitImdead" animations like on the former game.

Least: IDK....all the ones quarians don't have I suppose,
Seen Tali's sweat as the last poster, and came here to say "Who didn't see that one coming?"
Favourite : cluster (especially on a venom drell vanguard) =>>> bounce everywhere
Hated one : Nightshade blades, ok not really a grenade but when I use something that consumes a charge I expect it to kill, not just to stun
And a question : can the homing grenade cheese with inceniary ammo like inferno nades?

Homing nades don't interact weirdly with incendiaries, I think.
If you mean they don't Incindiary glitch, then you're right. That's only for Warp, Incinerate, Flamer, Inferno Nades, and Flame On Shield. (Though it feels like I'm forgetting one? But I don't care. Not in the mood for BSN today. Must play Demon Souls. Now.)

I was in the same position with mine quite a while back. I switched it up to a 6/4/4/6/6 build with Geth scanner. Pull is useful for a quicker stagger then headshot than reave.
I spec 6 points into pull and he's still insanely powerful, just quite a bit slower.I played two games with the Drell Adept last night, for maybe the first time in more than two years. This is punishable by death in the Empire.
