Well, the descent doesn't have golems, but now we have dragon age machine guns...

Bioware. Give us a story, not a gimmick that makes so little sense. Lyrium drives even dwarves insane... Now it doesn't?
Dragon age doesn't need guns, at least not until hundreds of years in the future.
Give us a real story. Tough decisions. Great characters. Not giant health bars and automatic weapons.

Tough decisions? We don't need them all the time, but yeah -- would be fun.
Great characters? I thought Brenn and Varla very interesting, thank you.
Not a giant health bars and automatic weapons? Yes and no.

You got a story, you just didn't like it.Tough decisions? We don't need them all the time, but yeah -- would be fun.Great characters? I thought Brenn and Varla very interesting, thank you.Not a giant health bars and automatic weapons? Yes and no.
I got a story, but it was short and inconsequential and didn't even try to answer it's own questions, never understood the questions from the main game. I liked both characters but I'm talking in general, I want a real narrative with great npcs and companions alike. A city would be nice. This was more of a combat simulator then a real narrative.
What I'm saying is bioware has missed the point of what made their games great. DAI isn't, at best it's okay with a short story, at worst it's more chores and fetch quests then meaningful content.
It's not the quality I expect from this studio. I love dragon age, but DAI continues to disappoint.

They're not guns, they're crossbows on steroids that shoot bolts. Although guns wouldn't be that big of a travesty since the Qunari have gunpowder....

They may be crossbows, but at first view, I thought it was guns too. I mean, the use of guns or their prototypes lead back as early as the 9th century, but it definitely felt out of place in this dlc.
It doesn't really matter that qunari has access to gunpowder. They also have access to wheels and machinery, but it would be weird to see them drive around in medieval vehicles. I thought the dlc was kind of strange. It made me think of Gaia. I don't know, it didn't seem like a DAI dlc and didn't feel connected to the game. A friend of mine believes this dlc was stage to have a reason to give dwarves mage-like abilities for MP and for future titles. It's an interesting theory, only time will tell.
This is just my opinion, I am glad others enjoyed it. It just didn't seem like DAI was the main focus and it felt like a stage for something else.

Or you know...drop in this entirely new...race...species...I don't know to call Titans, and tell us absolutely nothing about them. Gah! I am still irritated by the lack of any interesting information in that DLC. Yeah the diary entries and what not were neat to read, but they didn't actually tell us anything, they just caused more questions. What the heck are scaled ones?

I am not sure how I feel about the idea of dwarven mages yet. I mean, in one way it would definitely be really different, and potentially fun. There is a part of me that is old school fantasy that immediately rebels at the idea of it. But...well...reading Brandon Sanderson books and how different his worlds are have started to break me of that.
So I think I might be okay with it, as long as they come up with a really cool specialization for them.

I never play as a dwarf, but I know there is a huge following that loves dwarves. If they want dwarves to have abilities, I'd be okay with it. It doesn't affect me.

Aren't they infused with lyrium? I doubt picking them up would do wonders for your health.

I thought they were Darkspawn? Though the entry about the blood sacrifice seemed pretty out of the ordinary for Darkspawn.

There is a sad and simple explanation for this.

I thought they had changed their ways, but with this inclusion of machine guns, guess I was wrong.

When I heard about the pew pew machine gun in the new DAI dlc, I was like - "oh, 'tis gonna be good..."
P.S. I am being sarcastic in case someone missed it.
