Willpower to Damage - When does it matter?

As I turned on the party damage numbers to how I did in comparison to my friends, i was shocked at a run by Level 1 Katari on NM. So i decided to look at how the damage is truly effected by Willpower promotions and below is what is the result. This could be a add on on the offense side to Kmeeg's excellent defense analysis.

 

Damage calculation is based on aznricepuff's analysis

 

final_damage = (base_damage * rand(0.95 to 1.05) - armor * (1 - armor_penetration))
* (ability_multiplier)
* (1 + critical_damage_bonus + flanking_bonus)
* (1 + attack_bonus + damage_multiplier + type_bonus)
* (1 - magic_resistance)

 

To get to base attacks I am using a Level 1 Katari and his Charging Bull attack

 

Assumptions I used

 

1. Base damage using Hakkon's Valor 321 (Shadoz's MP Equipment #)

2. Armor of enemies is set to arbitrary 40 and 0 for AP on one and 0 and 0 on another

3. Ability multiplier is 150% of base weapon for Katari Charging Bull

4. Critical damage of the Hakkon's Valor is 100% and I used 54% additional used by many on grip/pommel for max damage

5. No Flanking Bonus for this purpose

6. Attack Bonus is 50% of the Willpower

7. damage multiplier and type bonus is set to 0

8. Magic resistance is set to 0 for but in the rune section it would matter dependent on the rune vs enemy

Assumes superb rune at 25 damage and again each enemy has different reaction to elemental attacks so i will assume 0 as neutral state. Also that Critical damage is in effect on rune damage

Results is that between Willpower of 0 and 200 their is 2x damage increase so when a highly promoted player goes into perilous or nightmare with a Level 1 character his survival is based on the defense numbers Kmeeg showed and his offensive DPS numbers seen here.
 
That means at level 1 he/she is capable of one or two-shoting most enemies in perilous with the charge and no passives.

I think it means 1 point of willpower is a 0.5 percent damage increase.

They need a tackling dummy section you can take your weapon and test out damage output for your abilities.
