Jarvik is one of the best. He's anti-PC. He's a real warrior.
In many ways his approach is how WW2 was fought vs. how wars today are fought. In WW2 we bombed that church if the enemy was in there. Citizens were fair game for helping the enemy. He knows that sacrifice is necessary to win and this cycle better realize that or face defeat.
Cortez is the anti-Jarvik. How can such a baby be in the military. You lost someone so get over it and fight for their memory. He is a risk to the mission as you never know when he'll breakdown. his death in the end is the redeeming factor.
I don't have the Citadel DLC so can't comment on it.
