Well, what do you think? Will we have some nicely populated cities and planets to immerse ourselves, or we are getting only the Wild West, with wilderness and some small villages?

I have no doubt that there will be some nicely populated cities in Andromeda that belong to the native races. Bioware has already pretty much stated such last N7 Day when showing concept art.

Yeah, I have seen those, but if I'm thinking more on "our" side, or we are just gonna use the Andromedans' cities as well?

Well, the one they were talking about was for friendly peaceful aliens so I assume they are on our side. :P

But as for cities built by the Milky Way races, it depends on how long we've been there and what constitutes a nicely populated city. We'll probably have a hub ship at least that acts like a city.

Lord help them if they don't have a sizable number of settlements and cities.

The "Presidium-like" space station will probably be the MW species' main hub. My guess is it is the ark. There will probably be at least one major Andromedan hub to contrast it, and then we will have a number of "wild west" like colony cities, I would imagine.

Don't you want more empty DA:I style maps to run around on? We need lots of room for fetch quests so when it takes 20 minutes to run to the corner of the map to fetch a ring its culminates into "OVER 100 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY!".

Wait, really? That's interesting.

Maybe the twist that the Citadel is the ship that goes to Andromeda, or maybe there is another Citadel in Andromeda.

After probably spending probably 80 of the 100 or so hours sunk into DA:I wandering around in its largely lifeless and boring wilderness maps, I hope we at least get one decent hub. More would be great.

Logically colonists should focus on development of one planet first (well, turians would need separate one), creating long production chains and infrastructure. But I doubt that game designers care about economic side, so we'll see lots of mine and farm settlements scattered around the claster. Wild West all the way.

I really hope this isn't Ark, because it looks like one giant waste of space.

- So why we are so short on resources and equipment again?

- We just made a really nice forest from Ark, now get going, I have a fish to catch.

We gained knowledge from the reapers that they had another station in Andromeda. Maybe

It does make me wonder what the level of development will be for the Andromeda races. If they haven't been funneled down technological paths, and had their galactic progress reset ever 50,000 years, then they should logically be far, far ahead of the Milky Way races in terms of development, infrastructure, and technology.

Well we don't know but logic would tell that the races able to do inter-galaxy space travels (ours) should be much more advanced than others who aren't capable of doing so.....but I don't expect BW following a logical pattern.

Logically speaking there should be civilizations on any level of development in any given moment of time. Evolution provides new species, technological progress and disasters make them disappear.

Lifespan of species is so tiny compared to the age of the universe. We have yet to discover how many civilizations rise and vanish before they even meet anyone.

Being able to undertake inter-galactic travel wouldn't make us inherently superior though. We are putting all of our eggs in one basket with the whole ARK scenario; it doesn't matter that we were able to cross dark space to Andromeda, we are alone with no reinforcements. The natives will have had epochs to establish infrastructure, and if they are an interstellar civilization they will have several worlds with which to draw supplies from.  I will agree that BioWare will most likely not follow such a pattern though.

I just really hope that the narrative doesn't paint us the messianic race that travels to the land of savages to bring enlightenment and is the only one capable of solving the mystery of the Remnant; despite being completely foreign to this galaxy…. Oh please God don't let the Remnant technology only work for humans a la Forerunner tech in Halo

I agree on the things that we should not be special for the fact of being humans but I wouldn't be against the idea that we are more developed in some sense than most of Andromeda civilizations. We were living in a galaxy devastated by war and to some extent war do contribute to faster tech development (see WW2 we entered in war with horses and ended with nukes) and even if you don't consider this enough you can bring all the advancements brought to us by Reaper techs. I would be suprised if we were not as much advanced as many races of Andromeda. We shall see though.

If they do go for a Western theme will they go the whole way? Will the native Andromedans be like the Native Americans? We come in, take their planets in exchange for "radioactive water" (ryncol)? I almost want them to, just for lulz.

Someone will also need to die of space dysentery.
