Killed Cory for the 3rd time tonight ... for once I actually went and talked to the companions after and so far we know:

Leaving:

Dorian

Varric

Cassandra

Solas ( already gone )

Morrigan & her son ( as said in epilogue)

The others either specified staying or just didn't mention anything at all.

I understand Cassandra is my divine so I get it but aww damn Dorian & Varric are leaving? This sucks!!!!

Depends on your approval, I had every companion stay except for Blackwall (who I sentenced to become a Warden) and the obvious 2, Solas and the Divine (in my case it was icky Vicky for some reason). Dorian first told me in the library that after the crisis he was planing on going back and trying to make Tevinter better, and that my character inspired him to do so. After the final battle he said that he has his best friend in the world (my inquisitor) at Skyhold and he was going to stay. Even Varric told me that he was going to stay for as long as he could, he had to at least get in "one more good round of Wicked grace, and try to help the commander win some of his dignity back". I had enough approval with Sera that she said that she didn't want to go back to Oralis, and my Inquisitor told her that she was like family and that Skyhold was her home therefore she could stay for as long as she wanted. Cassandra was my Inquisitor's love interest, she said that she would always stand at my Inquistor's side, the way she said it made me predict wedding bells in the future (if the writers allow it) lol.

People are constantly trying to kill you. Why would any sane person want to stay? If I were Varric, I'd rather audition to be a sidekick in the Farming Simulator.

In my games, Varric typically talks about staying at least until his book is finished, but that he wants to get back to Kirkwall eventually. Can't blame the guy. Kirkwall is his home, and he wouldn't have been anywhere near Haven or the Temple of Sacred Ashes if Cassandra hadn't thought Justinia needed to hear his story.

As for Dorian, he always decides to stay with the Inquisitor in my games.

I know she leaves, but for some reason it took me until now to wonder why you can't talk to her at the party after killing Corypheus. I'm really scratching my head at that now, since it would be nice to actually be able to say goodbye to her for once, and that scene is before the epilogue, so it would still make sense.

She was wounded, and was probably recovering.

Okay based on your comments I think we pretty much all got the same results .. they all said they were staying a lil longer but eventually are leaving as soon as possible...so eh. Cassandra did says she'd stay till she becomes Divine because the preparations for coronation are taking forever..so I guess at least that's that. I'm also thinking DA4 won't involve most of these characters ( maybe few) and thank god ..DA4 needs to be about the HOF -_-

Varric always plans to leave eventually to help Kirkwall. Dorian, if your reputation is high enough, plans to stay. I think his plans to return to the Imperium are in the much longer term.

Not a good enough reason. For one, she has healing magic (or at least mine did in Origins). Even with that aside, there is no reason we couldn't talk to a recovering Morrigan. Third, she's obviously well enough to travel great distances on foot just after the battle, since she leaves, so she should be able to talk, at least.

Hm. I usually have had good approval with Dorian, he's never stayed for me.

With the exception of me. Dorrian seemingly changed his mind, and said that he was not going to leave.

Varric will (probably after a few months) but I think it's more likely that whatever happens to the Wardens and Hawke will eventually involve the Inquisition, and Varric will just end up staying for whatever that entails.

She does not leave right after the battle. Healing magic can only do so much, and the last part of the game is the party, not a place to be while you are wounded. The Inquisitor is not the Warden, I don't see him being emotionally inclined to go out of his way to see Morrigan. Maybe to check in later, but he is not going to pull his hair out at her bedside.

Not necessarily, though in that case, given her relationship to Quizzie's newest friend, it's no surprise she'd prefer not to stick around.

I'd think the Inquisitor would want to check on Morrigan if she helped stop Corypheus by taking on his dragon. I'd be interested in her recollection of the events.
