1. What was your reaction upon learning of your inclusion at the mount Rushmore monument?

 

It was a complicated and ambivalent emotional reaction. While humbled by the tribute to my efforts to maintain the Union, I will always be troubled by the monument's association with Manifest Destiny.

 

2. Did you ever Crunk?

 

Yes, but to us, that was the word for a method of evacuating bowels during intestinal distress that involved reed, papyrus, and tree bark... uh, look, to be honest, the less you know about 19th century hygiene, the better.

 

3. Did you ever partake? And if so, did you inhale?

 

I did, but I don't remember it.
