I know they ran out of time and funding before they could create the models for abominations... but the way viv and cullen kept talking about mages and abominations i thought at least something might creep out of somewhere...
On the blood magic i agree, whole heartily. And if the writers want it to have an impact on the story, have all classes have a good/bad specialization. blood magic/healer (just some examples) reaver/templar assassin/tempest or what ever. i remember when i made anders a blood mage in Awakening. And in Amaranthine? you can start a conversation about it and he defends himself as a blood mage. To me that was really valuable, even if it is just a simple conversation, a little more reaction, a little consequence for an over powered specialization is fun to play around with. But a lot of this needs to be in the story, not in the codex. I hope now that bioware is fully integrated into frostbite the next game will be better, more developed, and a little bit darker. I miss having to choose between killing the kid or killing the mom. Then maybe even tricking everyone and learning blood magic from the demon.
