I started to read your post then I saw your stats, your way to low for NM, or even Perilous for that matter? in my OPINION <------- I put that in caps to emphasize it

Duo recent buffs (armor ,...), you realllly don't need much stuff for perilous anymore.

Hehe I was rocking Perilous back at launch. The recent armor buff has made it a cake walk (but NiM is kicking my ass as mentioned).

Thank you all for your suggestions! I will try out the different specs outlined here!

I would advise against the Necro in NM at all. Unless you take Ice armor and something to ensure it's on (Blizzard, Ice Mine). The sad fact is that without proper support (I assume you are pugging) some classes just don't work in NM without a lot of stats.

Try something tanky-

Lego

Templar

SS

AW (if you pay attention to resistances)

Or something support-

Barrier spec Virt

Ele with CC and barrier

Keeper

The other ones in the middle will open up as you get more stats or if you end up in a good party that plays together instead of the 3 rambos you see in every PUG.

Both the Archer and the Necromancer are glass cannons. I would not suggest them for people are not comfortable playing on Nightmare yet.

Probably the Lego would be the best bet for most people.

Are you trolling?

If I were to see a room full of legionnaires I'd feel the need to bolt out of the match because I know how slow they'd advance.

People should just show up with the classes they are actually good at

Beginners are not worried about finishing fast. They just want to finish.

I'm pretty sure there's a joke to be made here, I'm not the one who'll make it.

If I see 2 or 3 lego and AW  in NM, I rage quit without any hesitation.

Where do you people see the legos and the AWs? All I see is me and 3 Silent Sisters. Quiet matches all around.

True that. This makes sure your survivability. BUT PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ don't use lego if you see there is already a Lego or AW in the lobby!

SS is fine. But trust me, if you pug NM before SS came out, 9 out of 10 you get a lobby with no less than 3 lego and AW in total... Honest! Enjoyable 2 and a half hour run awaits! (Nope you probably get bugs or crashes before you finish the run.)

SS is still 2 slow in terms of dps. Better just go reaver if you want fast cookie cutter nm runs.

Sounds about right, then I'm forced to get something DPS oriented and procceed to get all the aggro because the lego did not get a taunt and the AW is hanging all the way back spamming CL without using any kind of CC/support skills whatsoever. Good times.

Reminds me of the joke about the difference between a young bull and an old bull, though I don't know if I want to fall on my sword by telling it...;^)

That really depends on your stats.  Both are great.

Just dropping in for an update. Tried out the Reaver and SS on NiM. Reaver was a tad too squishy for my taste, especially when PUGs are "kill stealing".

On the other hand, the SS is a fricking god on NiM. I went with Spinning Blades, Charging Bull, Throwing Blades, Hidden Blades, and it's a beast. On my first Dragon kill I got a Hakkon dagger, and on my second kill I got the Hakkon longsword. :)

No, just no if you are talking about nightmare.  You can take any one of a number of good classes you can play well on perilous and get ass booted on nightmare.  I think you are trolling or totally out of step with reality.

This is so true. I'm pretty good with the Archer / Necromancer on Perilous (no deaths, most kills, top of the scoreboard etc,) but I get my ass handed to me when I bring those classes to NiM with the same build. IE longshot is a deathwish on NiM. As I've experienced some classes are suited better for NiM than others.

Archer is the best class for NM if you are playing with friends and have good bow. Just don't take longshot if you can't handle the aggro.

Use Fall back plan back to back and leap shot all day long. That's all.
