Jeez, darkspawn out for barely a day and people calling for a nerf?! Really the bolters are the only dangerous mob and it is not like they hit you with unavoidable cheap damage. Just find cover and let them come to you.
You should have seen that group I was with. Every other group of Darkspawn was a lethal encounter for them, but we were still on perilous. They might have had less promotes and unique gear, but they shouldn't be able to walk through every other faction on perilous without issue and hit a brick wall on the offchance the Darkspawn show up.
Had I been running with friends or others with similar promotes and gear, I wouldn't have noticed a difference. But if the majority of players are anything like them, then that's going to be an issue.

Sure, they are an enemy you need to respect. Now if they shot through walls and were on every level then maybe, but its so early, let strategies develop to overcome the challenge rather than make them like every other faction something you can just steamroll.

I agree with Jailson.
4th wave is super hard. But the everything else is a cake walk.
I feel like the Darkspawn 5th wave in NM doesnt compare with other 5th NM wave.
Maybe if there is some Dwarves. But they could threat everything as a enemy, either us and the darkspawn.

Like I said, my personal problem with the new Deep Roads Neighbourhood Watch is purely flavour/style-related.
I just don't like the fact that they are mixed up with one another, just because they are both new enemies. Very well while both would actually provide sufficiently diverse units to be individual factions.

I love 'em all. Nice work.
Bolters - my normal perilous crew and I (great gear, low promotes) got annihilated the first time we ran into them. After that though, we crushed them; it's a total L2P issue. It's not like they're difficult to spot.

Finally got to play a couple of matches Vs Darkpawn & I can safely say that they are an awesome enemy, hard, but doable, my only problem, like most other people is the bloody bolters, as they just fire too many rounds.
In the past I've often thought that someone confused DAIMP with a shooter due to the amount of ranged units & this doesn't help, either reduce the amount of bolters or just reduce the amount they fire & then, in my opinion, you've got a tough but doable enemy faction.
can you just reduce the amount of ranged units in general anyway as this is a sword and sorcery game not a 3rd person shooter.

Finally fought Darkspwans in NM , and as the other says , the bolters are the most dangerous enemies in that faction , a single bolter do to my health what a horde of horrors buffed by knights would do . Enemies with a machine+shot gun ? Cool , give us a class with one too .

The damage on the bolters might be a bit too much. Did not test them on NM yet, but on perilous, they strip a fully improved barrier in 1 burst.
Yup. My AW died 3 times in a row on NM FC zone 4 with full barrier/health despite hiding in a room (while 2 Silent Sisters were having the time of their lives outside the room) because of these little chubby faces. This never happened before. I take it as a l2p (Darkspawn) issue...
And also, can I actually fight for the Darkspawn with my chars? The armours are much cooler than my own and I think they will win the war...
So, I want the Bolter's weapon and abilities on a playable class. Plz.
I want that magic Venatori sword, that blocks 12 arrows at once, fire, the walking bomb spell and anything else.

No, they chose non-Collector factions mostly after that, rather than selecting a random enemy. But, we can't do that with DAMP.It's like the time back then Collectors faction was added to ME3MP. First, people complained about how op they was, but then just dealt with it.

I would assume the models are just too big for some of the existing maps.

I'm not sure about the model size being the issue, rather than having three Ogres grabbing and incapacitating a large number of players who choose to play melee.

They're already rocking the geth-like knockdown everything and spray it with bullets, at least you have a chance to rescue your allies against Ogres. I played through the SP dlc already and Ogres although tough weren't hard to manage. I think they opted to give us Super Dwarves instead of giving us more Darkspawn mobs.
Side note added: The SP mobs are based around you being roughly 24 to 27 and are still a challenge, I'm wondering just how much they tweaked them because they seem to hit faster and slightly harder than the SP mobs of the same name.

The dwarf elemental caster guys are ridiculously beefy. They take so long to kill, and if a group of them gets in knockdown range while the Bolters are coming, you're in for an unpleasant time.

Bolters tend to do 80-90 dmg per shot against me, but randomly they'll do 200+ per shot.
Genlock Alphas are the bane of Pala's existence.

Seems like there was a good potential to add 2 factions instead of mixing them up into one.
The bolters are bad, the whole lot of the dwarves with all the knockdown are annoying as all get out even on lower levels where they aren't as lethal as higher ones.

I expect they will be nerfed or bring in faction selection. A lot of the people who post here are in the top percentile of players; people with good gear, decent to very high promotions and plenty of skill. Those who play daily will find ways to adapt or are already strong enough to handle the Darkspwan. But from what I've experienced and read here the mid-range people are having trouble which means more casual players and/or newcomers will be totally destroyed. I'm not sure if Bioware really wants to widen the gap between the top 10% and the rest of the player base. It already surprises me how much information that can only be gotten from reading these forums, watching twitch and following the devs on twitter.

I had a threatening match with a bunch of brand new plays who took that "for levels..." nonsense seriously about which difficulty to choose so they were almost all very basic equipment. Carrying them waves 1-3 no problem, wave 4 they all got whacked repeatedly carrying or not.
The more I see it the more I wish the Dwarves were a separate faction and maybe even a faction for Perilous and Heartbreaker where their unique skills would make them a fight for the over-leveled types.
This division between people who have stats 100+ and those that have stats around 20 or lower is so vast that trying to find a challenge to fit both is darn near impossible.
