All movies based on video games. Especially the Hitman and Max Payne ones *shudders*
And there's gonna be a new Hitman movie based on Absoliution. Just... why?
Max Payne was a pretty bada$$ movie! I actually liked it.

Can't really say i've seen anything remotely as bad as this movie.....except for maybe some Sci-Fi channel movies.

Step AWAY...from the BIKE.
I only watched some of the highlights on YouTube but to me, it seems like one of those movies that is so bad, it's good. Kinda like The Room, it's not meant to be funny but is.

You folks ever watch the Red Letter Media reviews for the prequels? They're hilarious and do a pretty thorough critique of them (they're also quite long as a result, but still well worth a watch).
Mr. Plinkett's reviews are the best. For everything.

Well, if you go in knowing nothing about it or the original version (as I did), you might actually like it at first - if nothing else, it kind of works as a somewhat bizarre mystery for a while, but then you get to the big revelation and you're left thinking, "Really? Well, that's...pretty dumb, actually."
The "so bad it's good," over-the-top moments definitely occur - Cage running around in an animal costume, his over-serious "step AWAY...from the BIKE," and a couple lines where he hams it up to an extreme. The infamous "NOT THE BEES!" scene is actually a deleted scene, but equally hilarious is "How'd it get burned? HOW'D IT GET BURNED?! HOWDITGETBURNEDHOWDITGETBURNEDHOWDITGETBURNED??!??!?!?!?!" In general, it does have some odd and partly unintentional entertainment value - it's not the sort of bad movie that's just painful to sit through from the very beginning.

Well, there are some really obvious ones that haven't been mentioned here, like the Dungeons and Dragons movie. The guy with the blue lips . . . why?

Another one that comes to mind is the John Wayne film The Green Berets from 1968. It's the only Vietnam war movie to be made while the war was happening, and the only pro-Vietnam war movie I know of. The film was shot in the state of Georgia of all places, so we get to see John Wayne and company fighting evil communists hiding in the dense forests of Vietnam. Pretty dumb all around.

Most of the "bad" movies I (and others here) have mentioned are bad to the point where they're comedic and even enjoyable to watch ("so bad it's good"). Like Battlefield Earth, which had me laughing my ass off from start to finish.
Truly bad movies to me are ones that try to do something and just... fail. They're not unintentionally funny. They're not fun to mock and joke around about. They're just plain ol' bad. Like Battle of Five Armies and Prometheus. Those movies just suck and I'd never even think of watching them a second time.

I actually found the sex scenes (which 3 occur within the first 30 mins or so) to be the most hilarious parts of it. It was like watching a live action rendition of a Bioware romance with the only thing missing is Tommy saying "but the priiiize".

I have a friend who teases me for liking Dog Soldiers, the movie about the British military fighting werewolves.
Back in the days when there were still video stores, he talked me into renting this low-budget dreck called The Mailman, ignoring my other recommendations like The Devil's Backbone. It was mind-bogglingly awful. It looked cheap as hell, there was no plot to speak of (just this ******* randomly terrorizing people), the acting was awful and there was a lengthy sequence that was basically just soft porn. He wanted to stop watching halfway through, but I insisted on watching until the end. "You wanted this! You insisted it would be good! We're finishing this godawful piece of ****!" And we did.
And now, whenever he teases me about Dog Soldiers, I remind him of The Mailman.

I forgot to mention this masterpiece:
It must have the most random sex scene between two main characters ever. There's, like, zero setup for it at all. It's hilarious.

Lady in the Water - should be self explanatory.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit - I was expecting something exciting and was left utterly bored. I'd rather watch two hours of Chris Pine doing an audit.
