Ugh...
The first Christmas Vacation was funny but I think this was just a lazy cash grab...
Just like the new reboot movie called "Vacation."
Hollywood has run out of ideas.
Which is really sad considering the wealth of authors and stories that exist.

What was bad about that movie? I have it on a list of movies to watch.
Also Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever I kind of liked.
My biggest problem with Lockout is that the beginning is so contrived that even in a movie where you already accept there is a space prison you have trouble continuing to suspend disbelief. The beginning is also SUPER preachy about US prison policy and politics and it doesn't bother to try to conceal it or make the view of the other side even semi-reasonable in any way and just exaggerates everything bad to the point that the plot happens because of things anyone with half a brain would see the problem with.
However, if you can get past that, it may very well be a fun mindless siege movie with decent action. I wouldn't know. Unlike most movies on this list it doesn't have absolutely abysmal scores or reviews, only very mediocre ones. So if the above things won't bother you then you may enjoy this movie.

I think the message is meant more for Christians who are skeptical of the holiday than for non-religious people like us. We just laugh at it.
Although I can't say I was laughing much at the bizarre attempts at humor in that trailer (and presumably the entire movie). Maybe it's some kind of Christian humor? I can't imagine even Christians would find it that funny.
This movie was kinda dumb.
Just kinda dumb? I thought it made absolutely no sense at all and totally f***ed up the backstory to Alien. I expected better from Ridley Scott... but I expected better from George Lucas as well, and we all know how that turned out.

I tried to watch that movie after I saw Mr. Plinkett's review, but I only made it halfway through. That movie was even less watchable than he led me to believe.
