In my case, I still have Alistair very present, because actually he is still pretty new to me. I got introduced to DA more than two years ago with DA:II, because I had finished one of the Mass Effect games and I was going through withdrawal, and I wanted something similar to forget the game. In that moment, in the stores was available DA:II so I bought it and I liked it. When I heard about a new DA, I was eager to buy it, but before play it I preferred to find and play the first game, DA:O, so I found it in a 2nd hand store last November and I started to play it.
The first Alistair I had met was the king in DA:II, I remember, after the conversation (kind of surrealist) with him, I thought what a strange man is this king!, and however I heard he was one of the main companions of the first game, I didn’t give him any significance.
When I started to play DA:O, at the beginning I didn’t like him at all (always complaining... too childish... I thought he was a kind of silly), but whenever I was playing I started to enjoy this character every more and more…, until he became my favorite character ). After playing DA:O, I played DA:II (again) and DA:inquisition in a row, and I have to say, as a character and as a LI, I liked him more better than any of the other ones of the saga, and I like it better his more mature one in DA:Inquisition. My Hawke finished the game single (no, I didn’t like Fenris, neither Anderson), and my Trevelyan Inquisitor finished the game with Cullen, by exclusion of the others candidates.
