I just do not get that mentality at all.

 

My favorite voice actor is Simon Templeman, who voiced the protagonist in my favorite game series, Legacy of Kain. Ever since then I have craved another game with him as the main protagonist but have had to settle for him being in supporting roles.

 

Well, sometimes when the voice actors style is really distinctive, I really want to listen to them, but I might not think they fit a role as essentially mutable as that of an RPG protagonist. Which was that actor you wished had voice Iron Bull? Was it Mickey Rourke? I think of it like that. I want them in the voice cast, but if they represent the main character then it will limit how many different ways I can perceive the personality and style of that protagonist.

Kate Mulgrew as new "Karin Chakwas" or "Admiral Hackett".

Carrie-Anne Moss as Asari pilot or squad mate (because "I am Omega!").

 

Maybe Ellen McLain as some A.I. that likes killing people.

The entire Legacy of Kain main and supporting cast were grade A talents. Not all of them had the range of voices other VA's had, but they had their own voices and they were awesome. I'd love to have any and all of them in any game. 

 

Was really bummed to hear that Paul Lukather, who voiced Vorador, passed last year. He was one of my favorites.

Bosch voices Nero, not Vergil -- It's true though; Vergil's voice actor Daniel Southworth is epic too, as it so happens, him and Bosch are both former Power Ranger actors, heh.

I want Stephanie Lemelin as the female PC VA! I'll settle for her in a NPC/squadmate role if I have to, just get her glorious voice in there somehow BioWare! For those who don't know her, she's the Female PC VA in Sunset Overdrive, and she is awesome!

I think J. Michael Tatum is a fantastic VA, and would love to romance his voice.   As for a PC I really like Navi Rawat's voice. Not your usual fare.

I must admit, if either of them (also doesn't Patricia Ja Lee, Cassie from late Turbo/In Space, do VA work as well?) were to voice characters in the new Mass Effect, I'd be very happy.

I just feel it's worth repeating that I think Bioware should be scowering Youtube for talent right now. Abridged Series' and Parody Dubs have really taken off over the last few years and you have a lot of very talented people working on passion projects that they're getting very little money for on youtube.

 

Find them, reach out to them, offer them an opportunity on a larger stage. Bioware gets people who have, in some cases, years of experience, for beginner rates, and the talent gets a bigger payday than they're used to even with that, and they get more exposure to where it could be the start of some very promising careers.

I wouldn't be surprised if BioWare not only did an open casting call, but also reached out for Talent using the internet.

Sith Male warrior had a nice voice.  Would prefer companion though.

Who, Richard Teverson who voiced Quinn?  I would love it if BioWare used that pinched, prissy little voice on some officious functionary you can haul off for a quick tumble to loosen him up!

 

Mark Meer I love as everyone but Shep, so I think he'd be great.  Greg Ellis needs to come growl at us some more, too.  They haven't given up on Nathan Fillion, have they?

I'm also hoping for Laura Bailey, she does appear in a lot of games (similar to Troy Baker) but she usually does a great job. Also it'd be cool to see Gideon Emery, he did a great job as Fenris and Samson and it'd be cool to see what kind of character he could play in Andromeda.

If Bioware continues its trend of hiring actors known for roles in Sci Fi films or TV series, I hope they snag a couple from Defiance. The show is campy as hell but fun, and does have a few good actors in starring roles.

 

It would be cool if Grant Bowler (Nolan), Tony Curran (Datak Tarr), and Jaime Murray (Stahma Tarr) landed roles in Andromeda.

I think it would be a nice touch, for who ever they cast for the male and female voices of the main character, to have them collaborate between each other so that there responses in the game would be similar in terms of voice acting. Some instances have there own thing, but majority be similar. This way you would really feel like the main character, be it male or female, is the same character. Just subtle changes here and there.
