in my mind, ME3 ending did not happen, they are all happy after the citedal DLC and now in a vacation on brazil!

 

 

in all seriousness, i know that shepard's story is over, but should not mean that we should abandon it. i hope the devs give us something sweet in ME:A... i hope at least we can see liara and remember the old days through her. plus my shep romanced her since ME1, so i will cry hard at that. 

In my mind, the actual ending was the happy ending mod + citadel dlc connection mod. Basically, shep survives, reapers die, no star child, and the last thing in the game is the citadel dlc story line.

As someone who was there for the birth of Star Wars, lived through BBC2's endless repeats of Star Trek and its later incarnations, Doctor Who since Tom Baker, Half Life, XCom, Bioshock/System Shock, et al, if I was only allowed one franchise, it'd have to be Mass Effect.  The games might be over, but the characters they created will never truly die.
