Favorite Squadmate? (Thread Restart)

Who is your favorite squadmate, why, and what did he/she do that finalized your decision?
For me, it's Legion. The fact that he goes against the stereotype of "computer overlord that desires to destroy all organics", along with EDI, is something that has earned my respect and admiration.

Isaac Amisov's three laws state:
1.) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2.) A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3.) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
It seems as though Bioware rearranged the laws for Legion's Geth into:
1.) A robot must protect its own existence.
2.) A robot may not injure an organic or, through inaction, allow an organic being to come to harm, except when the First Law is threatened.
3.) A robot must obey any orders given to it by organic beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First or Second Law.
Everything Legion has said and everything he's told me about the non-heretical Geth have followed those exact laws. The heretical Geth, on the otherhand, seemed to have erased the second and third laws from their code.

Legion is also my favorite. I'm reminded of Isaac Asmimov's "Three Laws of Robotics" after listening to Legion talk about his Geth faction.

I agree. This means that it is possible for the non-heretical Geth and the Quarians to actually coexist. Maybe in Mass Effect 3, we'll be given the option to convince the Geth to allow the Quarians to come home. That would be just awesome.
Edit: Especially since the Geth can survive on worlds with no atmosphere, it makes it easier for them to resettle elsewhere.

I liked Miranda's back story, describes why she is like she is.
Legion is cool just because you can talk to the non brainwashed Geth.
Grunt did absolutely nothing for me (I'm a Krogan, I want to kill things, and you wish I was Wrex)

Next would be Tali, because she's awesome and adorable. Then Mordin, for self-explanatory reasons. Then Grunt and Miranda. Then everyone else.
Loved them all, though.

Tali. Dunno why I find her so charming, but I do. Probably her altruism and compassion.
Legion. Geth as (anarchist) collectives? **** yeah! D:<

Other than her, Thane - he is stylish, spiritual, and damned good at what he does. He was also one of the people I always felt like I could talk to without being judged or having to deal with their preconceived ideas of who you were.

What I loved best about ME2 was no Kaidan! Good grief how I hated him.

Jack. Contrary to common preconceptions, Jack's actually pretty introspective and observant. She's so charming. I love that the romance scene was clothed. I'm not sure if there was any sex, but it'd be awesome, even with just cuddling.

All of the romance scenes are clothed.

1) Tali - while Liara was the romance option I chose for ME1, I definitely found Tali to be sweet and endearing in ME1. She was just a genuinely interesting character as well and seeing how she has developed in ME2 was just awesome payout. Absolutely expecting her return in ME3.
2) Legion - I love robots/mechs/sci-fi like this and having a sentient/unique squaddie like this is just fan service all the way. Of all the new squadmates, this one is the best. My only regret is we get so little time with it if we don't balance our mission spread right, but again - amazing character. Love the voice overs, the lore, just...everything. I will be completely bummed if we do not get him back for ME3.
3) Mordin - I wasn't sure about him due to his speech in the previews but he's totally won me over xD His topics, moral code and interesting discussions really set him apart and sealing the whole thing with his fatherly sex talk before you romance your LI is just...oh god I died laughing.
Special shout-out to the Asari Bartender on Illium and Joker/EDI commentary. I'd have Bioware's babies alone for their VO/Character work xD

Really wanted the extra overload and warp people to get rid of the various defenses on the enemies.
So Miranda usually came along for her skill that gave extra health + damage to the whole squad.
3rd person depended if it was a mission with organics or robots.
On a personal level Tali shone, as well as Liara, I was really moved by her story.
Mordin was pure hilarious comedy.
Legion came too late to really get an impression, I hardly knew him before the reaper was already dead.
