I plan on preordering that game the very minute the option becomes available, same as every other DA or ME game that preceded it!!

I don't know since we know next to nothing about it but Inquisition has greatly INCREASED the odds of me buying DA 4.  Going into Inquisition I wasn't sold on it till E3.

There's absolutely no benefit to preordering games, so no.

I don't understand how anyone can preorder stuff, especially in the era of Arkham Knight or AC Unity.

Although we have Steam refunds now...

Sadly, I don't think there are Origin refunds.

I thought origin gave 24 hrs to refund?

Regardless, no I won't be preordering. Doesn't mean I won't buy it at or right after launch, but I'll wait for some early reviews to at least scope it out first.

I'll do what I did with Inquisition

Pre-order the Collector's Edition (If there is one), then pre-order the digital deluxe edition on Origin. Mainly for that pre-load, and accessibility right at midnight (or VPN cough cough).

Of course I will.  DAI was a smash hit that I've thoroughly enjoyed.  Bioware continues to impress, I continue to shower them with credits.  Just... no bears in the next one, okay?

Oh I am sure in Tevinter OR the Anderfels there will be worse then Bears.  Probably gonna have to deal with Anacondas in the Imperium.

No. I was dedicated about DAO/DA2 before too. So I'm not some hater by default.... just saying.

They haven't even announced that they're doing DA4 yet! Granted, they probably will, and if they do, I will probably preorder, but it's a little early for that kind of prediction.

I'm judging it on how less I care about the whole setting after DAI. It's a much different place now..lost my connection to it. DA4 could be a decent standalone game, in it's own right, for all I know.

I will pre order the fanciest edition of DA4 once announced. I did that with DAI and I don't regret it.

I think EA has some sort of "great game guarantee."

Yeah, they do. For preorders, you can return it within seven days of the game's release if you never bother to play it, or within 24 hours of your first launch.

Still doesn't really make pre-ordering worth it to me. Hell--the Mass Effect series comprise three of my favorite games of all time, but I won't be pre-ordering Mass Effect: Andromeda, especially after BioWare's mixed results with Inquisition.

I refuse to preorder majorly published games, and deliberately chose the vanilla version without temporary bonus content - whatever difference that may make.

I will buy it on the very first day it is availible however.

(Provided it stays a party-based ARPG)

Meh.

For some reason my enthusiasm for BW games is not is great as it was when I pre-ordered DA:2 and ME:3.

I managed to surprise myself when with a surge of naivety I pre-ordered DA:I.

Considering that all of the games above were a disappointment for me to one degree or another,

I think I have lost the childish impulse to pre-order.

(Oh, by the way, any pre-order in game items proved themselves very quickly as useless and not particularly interesting.)

Will I buy future Bioware games, probably yes, mainly because even an "okay" or half-decent game can provide some measure of entertainment.

I only rarely pre-order games, the only franchises so far where I've pre-ordered were Tekken and Dragon Age, solely based on the fact that I thoroughly enjoyed the precedessors and trust their respective companies/developers.

Considering DA:I has been very enjoyable for me so far and gave me the most drive to start another new playthrough out of all Bioware games I've played up untill now, I'd say there's a good chance I'm going to pre-order the next DA game.

Though to be honest, if I don't pre-order a game, chances are I won't even pay full price for it and wait for a hefty discount.

I will pre-order the fanciest edition of DA4, as I've never been disappointed in anything that BioWare has released yet (except for maybe Jaws Of Hakkon).

Against my better judgment, probably.

I'm very much against preorders on principal, but I generally allow myself to recklessly splurge on stupid preorder bonuses once a year. Last year, DAI. This year, Arkham Knight.

Everything else, I will get for a hefty discount a while after release.

Yes, because for me Bioware stands for hours of gameplay.  Since the games are a few years apart due to development time I am longing for something to play that I haven't played over 10 times allready.  Bioware is one of the rarities I play from a-z multiples times beyond 2 other franchises.

I don't even bother with steam sales any more because those games I think "maybe" never pan out.  So in the end it is a lot of money for tryouts I don't play and that portefollio is allready big.

Preordering and VPN fit nicely together although I agree with a lot of others that preordering is the wrong message to multinationals even with free stuf or not.

Bioware - specifically the Mass Effect and Dragon Age franchises have been solid investments.

Also CDProject with the Witcher series has been great as well.

Any other company or series, I may hesitate in pre-ordering, but would consider it on a case by case basis.

Bioware games have always been exactly what I've expected. Until that changes, I'll keep preordering them. The ME ending was pure insanity, but the game was still more or less exactly the same ME game as always, albeit a bit more honest about the dud choices.

Pre ordering is contributing to a thing i don't wanna support. I will wait till reviews and gameplay are out
