I rarely pre-order games, mainly 'cause of Rome 2, unless I know for a fact that it's gonna be good (i.e. TW3, Hello Kitty's Island Adventure 4, etc). I didn't pre-order DAI, nor did I buy it day 1 - and after playing it I can't say that I'm hyped for DA4. Interested, sure, but not hyped. Can't be hyped, especially since I fear that we'll be seeing a lot more of what DAI brought to the series... And I can't say I'm a big fan. Depending on what they cut, bring back, or introduce my interest might wane... Wain... Hold on, lemme dictionary this real quick...

Yeah, it's wane - I was looking for wane, 'wain' wouldn't make any sense. Did you know it meant a farm wagon or cart? Weird.

Anyway, based on what they do my interest might wane or the opposite of that and until they start shedding some light on it I can't say whether it'll be a first-day purchase or not. However, I will most likely end up getting it eventually, unless they do something really foolish and cause the series to commit seppuku. Then I might give it a pass, but I don't think they'd mess up that bad. We'll see.

Yes. I've always enjoyed the DA series. Sure, it has some problems... but the world and characters are always memorable and great. Hope DA4 takes.place North like, Tevinter

it be a long way off so tbh i have no idea what i be doing, i liked DA:I, it never had the replay value of any other previous DA game an the DLC so far, well after 2 times going through them i have no inclination to go back an do them again anytime soon.

I defer be buying ME:A, wont be pre-ordering or day one purchase but i will defer buy it, an with DA:I being BioWare's first "adventure" into frostbite i am willing to forgive alot, but for the next game, for me, the DA team really needs to up there game a thousand fold in everything from animations to aesthetics cause as far as im concerned BioWare in these 2 departments alone are rock bottom of the league and, for me again, for professional game developers that sort of rubbish work that is being produced just aint good enough

No way I'm pre-ordering another game from Bioware/EA until a very long time.

Nah.

Given how whatever their trailers advertise may or may not be in the finished product, there will be no way of telling whether I'd enjoy the game or not.

Unless someone promises me it will be super awesome on PC. That gets me every time.

While i found DAI mediocre, i probably will pre-order the next dragon age game if the pre-game story info interests me.

who knows... it's a looong way down the road. It's like buying an outdoor party ticket way ahead of time hoping for good weather...Better wait till you get some more accurate forecast.

Also if there were a critical mass of pre-ordering that would convince  BW to invest more into the game i'd do it, but i doubt they work that way.

I might. But I will await the user ratings this time.

I don't need another game with loads of collecting and fetch quests. I want dialogues and interaction with characters. I want romances and the option to see the positive in helping people out.

Dragon Age Inquisition is a game with beautiful graphics. But it has become too Disney-like for my taste. Too little role play and too much combat.

And I also don't want a game where the devs use all their time fixing exploits instead of ensure the game runs on the promised recommended specs.
There is way too much control and near to no freedom.

Dragon Age Origins was and still is the best of the series.

If the time came, that user's can post their ratings, it's not preordering anymore, is it?

I mean, the whole point of preorders is to buy a game before reviews are available.

As the few thing I found truly disappointing in DAI are things people complain about the most, I expect them to be significantly improved for DA4.

So, probably yes.

.
The answer has to be no then. I will not buy/preorder the next sequel.

As smashing as the graphics are I feel a bit disappointed. And the price for DLC's doubles the amount spend on the game. I feel a bit exploited. Milked somehow.

I enjoy the DA games and I always look forward to returning to Thedas so the answer is yes.

I would probably pre order it if there was no youtube. But since there is youtube I will probably just watch the game cutscenes and then perhaps I buy the game later.

Generally I'm not a fan of preordering, but there are a select few franchises I do it for since I know I'll get them on release anyway, so I might as well pick up any bonus content they throw at me. The shortlist is basically Witcher, Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Fallout. Normally digital downloads, so the preload is the major incentive for me. Except Fallout 4, for that one it's the Pip-boy for the shelf in the nerd cave, doubt I'll ever actually play using it.

I never pre-order any games, so saying I definitely wouldn't pre-order DA4 doesn't say much.  As more and more games seem to ship broken and incomplete I am becoming much less likely to buy anything Day 1 either.  I waited 2 months to buy DAI and it was still too early.  A number of issues with the PC version of DAI never were fixed so I am very unlikely to purchase any Hypothetical DA4 until it has been out for quite a while.

I will surely get it on release day. I've been a fan since the first game, there's no reason for me to not pre-order the next game.

No. I never preorder.  I wait for user reviews and the patches. Games are always buggy at launch.
