Unless someone promises me it will be super awesome on PC. That gets me every time.
DA2 was awesome....I think....
No...wait. It was actually, 'something awesome happens every time I press a button'

Definitely won't pre-order, which isn't really a judgment on DA4, since I don't pre-order anything.
At the moment, I'm also leaning towards "won't buy day 1" given how let down I feel by Inquisition...but I also say that taking into account that I pretty much expected Inquisition to let me down and still bought it the first week it was out, so it's entirely possible I'd go against my better judgment once again.
Possibly; there's good deals on preordering games during E3 week in Canada so if DA4 ends up being one of those available titles I'm in.
Most likely will not. I will still buy it, but will wait for fan reviews to determine whether to pay full price or wait for a price drop.
Man, can we go a single Bioware game without this question coming up? It's a Bioware forum, most people here probably will. If DA4 is more like DAO/DAI and less like DA2 than I'm still in.
Depends on several things for me. What is the plot? Are we able to choose race? Does the gameplay look fun?
loved DA:O, Dissappointed with DA2, loved DA:I
so... only one strike so far. will def preorder, Bioware makes good games provided EA doesn't rush them
I will preorder. I will probably preorder whatever special edition they have if I at all possibly can. I had a lot of fun with DA:I and I'm psyched to see what else Bioware has in store for us.
Yes I will! And I will play it the first day it comes out and continue playing it until I am forced to sleep.
Will I preorder Dragon age 4 (or any other new Bioware RPG's)? YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! ![]()
Bioware, I have loved all your console games since KOToR , and I'm still trying to find a way to get these for Xbox 360:
1. Final Reason Staff from Dragon Age Origins Collector's Edition
2. Black Hole (Singularity) gun from Mass Effect 2 preorder bonus
3. N7 Armor/Weapons (for single player) from Mass Effect 2 Collector's Edition
I bought all 3 of these games day 1, but did not preorder or get collector's edition because I expected the bonus dlc to be available for purchase later, but they never were made available
. I have already purchased DAI twice (for Xbox 360 and Xbox One) so I'm definitely preordering whatever comes next.
Pre-order all the way. Sight unseen. My love for the world and lore of Dragon Age outweighs ANY flaws future DA games may have.

Yeah, exactly this.

Is there such thing as an un-rushed EA game anymore? Not for Bioware, at least.
I'll Pre-order the collectors edition probably. Whatever flaws Inquisition has it was still a good game, and I still love the franchise.
Depends I guess on how similar DA4 is like DAI. I'm getting bored of every game being "you're the chosen one, now go save the world with your merry band of heroes". I actually would like a more personal story like Hawkes was, as well as an actually good villain for once.
Aside from better writing, the quests felt really lacking in DAI. There were too many fetch quests which I know is a common complaint (so they'll probably fix this).

I think the DA2 story could have been really awesome, it just suffered from being so rushed. If they had been able to take their time on it I believe it would have been much more widely accepted. Things could have been revealed much more slowly, we could have seen Anders go from DA:A Anders in chapter 1 to slowly degrading to the final version in the last chapter. THAT would have been awesome.
I like the whole more intimate storyline and the smaller scale rise to power, etc. I loved the growth of the companions, how they became friends, etc. I would love to have a game similar to that again, just with a longer development cycle than DA2 had. I would wish that we could choose race, etc. as I prefer elves to humans, but a more personal story would be pretty sweet.
I'll preorder one or two weeks before release, when we've already seen Gold footage and gameplay. I adopted the same strategy with DA:I
Isn't it a bit early for talk of pre-ordering a game that's not been announced and probably won't be for some time to come?
Most probably. However, Bioware has sort of shot its reputation as a "made for PC" studio. I still enjoy the DA games a lot. However, I will definitely temper my expectations of what to expect for a PC interface. Sadly, I think these are going to feel like poor ports for quite some time.
However, I do hold out some hope that a few of the devs might have played Witcher 3 on a PC and realized that, "Hey! You can make a PC UI on a cross platform game!"

What are you talking about? Man, I just hit "A" on my keyboard and off... my camera view went to the left. ![]()

Probably not. I've preordered every major console released game they've made since KoTOR (except Sonic), and I like DA:I more than I liked DA2, but I don't see any evidence they're going to really course correct this thing. DA:O was one of my favorite games, my favorite game that generation, and some things in this game are the best so far (romance was majorly improved.. um, Morrigan and Leli were great. I liked most of the characters.) But there's just soooooo much tedium in the game. The MP may as well not exist to me, but they screwed the combat to accommodate mp gameplay, and that's the majority of the game now. I feel disconnected from the direction they're going. And the refusal to address the Warden in a game where Morrigan and Leliana are major characters just punches giant holes in the story for me. I don't feel like storytelling in general really is the focus it should be in this series. It makes everything feel more shallow. It's not my favorite western fantasy game series anymore, after playing W3:WH, or one of my favorite rpg series just in terms of gameplay, system-wise or anything. I basically just play for the story elements and customization now, and it seems like there are these self imposed restrictions dragging it down. I like what it could be a whole lot more than what it is.
I'll most likely buy it at a discount later, unless they about face on some things. Just can't get into it nearly as much as I'd like to anymore. That's a possibility though; it is a major step up from DA2 in places. Seriously needs some kind of Citadel-esque infusion to give it more life. I keep hoping for some dlc to show me they're moving the right direction, but nothing so far. I kinda doubt I'll preorder ME:A too. I don't know. Absolutely loved ME3 up until the end though.
Unless Bioware drop a load of acid during development and turn DA4 into a nug racing game or something then almost definitely a preorder for me. Even with some of the imperfections I've pretty much loved every game they've put out since Baldur's Gate... actually slight lie - i never played the Sonic one.
