Well that's still better than nothing.

I think it'll be more like the Kelly romance in Citadel. As in: never seen or referenced once and completely ignored. Which I suppose shouldn't be a surprise. Harding did kind of seem to have a role very similar to Kelly and her romance. Except without an ending.

Bit of a bummer there won't be any closure to the Inquisitor/Harding almost-romance, but Harding's a great character and I'm glad she'll at least be present for the last chapter.

I hope there's a Dwarven romance option in the next Gane there's at least 2 Really cute ones in DA:I Harding being one Dagna being the other. It would also be nice to have a shot at someone further outside the party like a Wench or Stable hand or something similar.

Maybe she'll show up in the sequel.  From the interview with ladyinsanity it seemed that Hardings part in the game is done.

If  DA4 is much more about dwarves, I'd outright suggest TWO dwarf romances. So there, Bioware!

Dwarves... if you like your women short and stocky. Short? Yes short indeed.

Personally, I don't really care about a sequel. If we are going north, Harding showing up will be pretty contrived. And even if she does, the really weird "almost romance" will be hanging over seeing her. Honestly it makes her (or Inquisitor) seem kind of like a bit of a terrible person who says one thing and behaves in another.

With a totally new protagonist,  I think a large part of the appeal of a hypothetical Harding romance is lost.

Hmm... contrived? The Inquisition is seemingly ending (to at least some extent), and Harding is a blank page when it comes to what she could do next.

Its a contrivance I can take.

I don't take the Inquisitor as mean, only flirting. Oh no, flirting leads nowhere sometimes!

Except there is dialogue specifically asking if this is just harmless flirting or something more, and you can say you really like her.

I think she'd be a more interesting character in a hypothetical DA4, especially if things go very badly for the Inquisition in this last DLC.

I get the gist that Bioware was leaning towards a Scout Harding romance which would have nicely complimented the advisory romances of Cullen and Josephine but then opted out at the last second because of resource constraints or other concerns. If the new Trespasser DLC is intended to tie up everything in Inquisition then perhaps they will throw it in as a plus.

It's a shame too because it would have made playing a dwarf Inquisitor much more interesting.

Maybe. But it would have only taken a single conversation to conclude the romance arc as it is. And In Jaws of Hakkon she had a lot of them, so they did have a lot of opportunities to do so; yet there isn't any different romance content with her at all.

It seems more like they changed their minds, forgot about the romance entirely or remembered but just didn't care about finishing it.

Did they take the romance options out? I recall seeing some romance replies and in the last two games I've played they're not there.

Did you start a romance with someone else?

Just flirting, nothing serious.

Well, I just checked and the flirt options are still in there for me. You lose the option to flirt with her if you begin a romance with someone else, so I don't know if you crossed one of the lines or not.

Might be Blackwall and the game believes I may be romancing him. He's got those greatly approves when you get the Warden stuff in his personal quest.

Who knows? If you guys are lucky her romance could be more like Samara's in the Trespasser DLC!

It's not impossible, but based on Mike Laidlaws sort of dismissive answer, it makes me think she won't have a cameo any different that from Dissent.

So having finally completed Trespasser, I genuinely don't know whether I supposedly got closure or not. The Harding romance is actually acknowledged in the game by Vivienne, but Lace has no lines.

I'm sure at the end of my game Scout Harding (after I disband the inquisition) leaves and returns to her husband and kids......which would explain why romance isn't an option.

Romance not being an option would be clear cut. Whatever Harding did was just felt like either Bioware didn't care about what they started or "cared" enough to specifically make things maddeningly unclear.

Wanna know what's weird.  Someone on a forum challenged me to write a fanfic scot harding romance and I did.  No one ever wrote one amongst all the bitching.

Life is so odd.  Link is in signature if you are bored.

I think Varric is the ultimate tease.

Who knows.

As far as I can tell BioWare thinks all Lesbians are rogues in DA (excluding Merrill).  Biotics from ME are closest thing to rogue in since of high dps but fragile.  Dunno.  Better than playing tennis!

I'm not complaining.

I've thought all my rug gfs are great.  My wife doesn't care, b/c she is much hotter;), and my approval rating is always higher with her in real life.

Scout harding has many more flirt lines with male inquisitor than female inquisitor.  I never knew this, sice I usually play exclusively play female PC toons.  I only switch to males for final unlocks.

Shrug.  Have to date Cassandra somehow.  Since I usually play on my  Bone on not my PC bi Cassie mod is not an option.  Plus I always feel a bit weird about mods.  Writer's intent and all that, even though David Gaider says, okay, so I should get over myself...what the hell time is it...I need some sleep.
LOL.
