I want a Soldier/Engineer hybrid that is more of a Demolitionist than a sniper. Focus being on explosives and fire. Maybe an arc grenade for shields and a napalm rocket for an area of effect.

I guess I'd be taking Sentinel yet again as it has the thoughness to go guns blazing in every fight but also the overpowered set of abilities that quickly dispatch even the ultras like Banshees and the like. So having the same six would be almost inconsequential to me.

Although having more unique specializations could separate the classes that became maybe too similar in Mass Effect 3... Something like choosing a subclass that really changes the way you go into fights or powers that are truly unique.

In inqusition we get extra dialogues or prompts depending on the class of our character... I would like to see that so taking Vanguard or Sentinel really have a nice bonus.

I think we should not expect new classes:

Soldier, Adept, Engineer, Infiltrator, Vanguard and Sentinel, will make a comeback (or so I think). What will it change, from ME3 to MEA imo, is that every classes will be more mobile.

It's a trend I've noted in ME3 multiplayer classes and in DAI: in an effort to make you feel your character more dynamic, Bioware invented rocket propelled soldier (Havoc), teleporting adept (Fury), jetpack propelled engineer (saboteur) and cartwheeling infiltrators (shadow). The only class who stayed "slow" is the sentinel, but they have tech armor and wicked gadgets (biotic hammer), so not really a problem.

The vanguard was an high mobility, high risk/high reward kind of class since ME2 already (basically already there), so no need to reinvent the wheel there.

DAI prospers too on this concept: teleporting mages (all of the spirit mages), agile tank assassins (bow and flasks)  and warriors with chains to aggro targets or able to jump world record distances (not every subclasses has them, but bare with me).

With the ME:A trailer, this trend seems... confirmed, maybe, with the jetpack propelled soldier as the main protagonist: battles more dynamic with the ability for every class to move around in the fields of war.

But, frankly speaking, I don't know if I'll like it: what I liked in ME2/3 was the feelings and charisma every class had. You could not play a soldier like an infiltrator, and the DPS spike of the black widow with tactical cloak was quite different from the more utilitarian high DPS of adrenaline rush. Soldier' only needs are to send high speed lead south and do it better than the enemy, not hopping around like a rabbit with a nice hand cannon: Destroyer and Geth Trooper, imo, are what soldiers in ME:A should be: lead givers, with a penchant for high ROF, damage reduction and strong shields. I'm not interested in a soldier because he has a jetpack: I'm interested because he has a BFG, the kind of which you need three hands and a backup spine to use. If a soldier needs to dodge, imo, it's because his weapons is a peashooter, and not a proper BFG.

The same could be said of every classes: vanguard should be invested in charge and biotic powers (nova: imo, the best power in all the ME trilogy). They should appreciate biotics and shotguns (melee?) more, not high ROF or stealth.

And so on...

it's useless to have 6 classes, imo, if they can do almost the same things with different flavors: still, ME:A is not out yet, so maybe I'm treating myself where it doesn't yet hurt.

Classes are fine. Not everyone can be a Mass Effect veteran. new players need the default classes. But that doesn't mean i'm happy with that. I want class customization. I want to be able to select from a large pool of class specific powers , or i want to be able to select from multiple powers for each slot.

Of course if someone comes out with a cool idea of a new class, i'm not against it.

- more characters per class to choose from like in ME3MP

- a character with customizable powers as reward for finishing the game on Insanity

- maybe a new Medic class focused on healing, buffing and managing squadmates instead of doing the fighting all alone?

So what do people want to see in Andromeda?

Same classes as before or slightly different?

A mix of both, having same classes with same abilities will be boring. But having some of them with a few changes plus new classes that will definetly ad some punch in the game.

I'd say that the original 6 classes cover everything they need.

The N7 Slayer is just a melee specced Vanguard.

There isn't a pure melee class; ala krogan assassin or the like.

Humans may have all their duck lined up, the alien races really don't.

No berserker type, no healer type, no cleric type, no haptic badass type.

maybe not, but the infiltrator specced for melee, pretty much annihilates everything.

Oh let's be careful about comments like this^.
I feel insanity is its own reward, let's not limit features based on difficulty setting esp w/powers.
(Different armor set as reward? Fine. In fact it could be called the "Insanity Armor set" (but those that can't/won't play on insanity would have to buy it, if they want it.))
I like the idea of a medic class, but it would have to be REALLY amazing for me to choose it.
Unfortunately
We should expect micro transactions for the MP, UGH!
But COOP is a must! Only reason I played ME3MP.

Agree, just because someone cannot handle higher difficulties or simply enjoys lower skill levels shouldn't be excluded from any game content.

I'd have always loved the engineer class (solider being my second).  But I wouldn't mind it being similar to the artificer class in DAI. Also I would like to being able to go into stealth(or being able to "cloak" I think is the correct term for ME) as an engineer.

similar to the volus characters in mp? They could cloak with the heavy melee but it didnt give any dmg bonus.

I don't think Insanity ist that much of a challenge but that was just a suggestion anyway. Might as well be just unlocked by starting a "New Game +"

                                                                            <<<<<<<<<<()>>>>>>>>>>

Here are some ideas.

Powers

LUCK -- a min/max damage/defense ability or other type

EFFECTIVE --  should be part of offensive/defensive damage calculations

STORM -- Bolts of lighting or visibility reduction

TELEPORTATION -- remove a hostile from the battle or use it as a choke point defense

TIME --  that can effectively slow hostile movement or have an AOE choke point use.

Want something different? How about the Strike Team create their own Biotic combos? Add AI scripting to allow us to "improve" our Strike Team effectiveness?  Have Strike Teams that complement each other have Better LUCK or stronger combined team defenses.

On CLASS evolutions

LUCK can jump you a rank or two or open up a locked abilitiy at a lower rank level or give you a new ability

On Weapns

ENGINNEER CLASS can have a localized EMP grenade

ENGINEER with a Jar of Bees

SOLDIER CLASS Flechette rifle that shoots a three burst round of concussive type bullets.

SOLDIER CLASS with smart rifle and smart bullets. Fire and forget as they home in on the target.

And for fun, environmental destructive weapons.

Some of the above ought to affect conventional combat.  I think in a good way

I want a necromancer-like class with you being infused with reaper tech and gaining the power to raise (albeit temporarily) dead enemies as husks.

Raise a human you get a common armed husk

Raise a Krogan you get a mindless enraged husk who charges enemies

Raise an Asari you get a Banshee-like creature with crowd control abilities

Raise a Quarian you get a turret

Raise a Salarian you get frost/fire attacks

etc...etc

One thing that comes to mind is an unlockable class, maybe for NG+, that allows you to choose powers from all 3 skill types. Something like... Annihilation Field + Throw + Energy Drain + Snap Freeze + Incendiary Ammo + Concussive Shot + Arc Grenade to make an 'N7 Elite' class or something.

Oh I agree 100%!
I enjoy the challenge and think it makes combat more fun and def more challenging.
But I have buds that won't play on insanity (believe me, we've had long debates about it ha).
I just don't see it as being fair to gamers that don't play on insanity to exclude an ability/power/content.
And as much as I love my trophy collection (yeah I'm a trophy ******) it'd be nice to be rewarded with a trophy AND something like an exclusive armor set for insanity.
I'm not nixing your idea just tweaking it.
