Really, you can introduce yourself anywhere on the forums. The DA:I forums might be best atm, since things are calming down over there for the most part. The ME:A forums are just getting going, and the more info that's released about ME:A, the worse it'll get. The ME3 forums are similar, but to a lesser extent.
Off-Topic isn't best place to introduce yourself due to how chaotic it is. It's always been chaotic, and it'll stay that way.
Just know that subjects regarding mages and Templars, elves, quarians and geth, krogan, DA2 Anders, Merrill, etc. are very controversial here on the forums, so it is best to avoid those topics as much as you can. There are dedicated trolls that immediately target any elf threads that appear and purposefully derail them. This makes it so that elf fans (such as myself) simply cannot talk about elves in a positive light on the forums for long and have to resort to banding together into private groups to stay away from the trolls.
The 2 most notable troll groups are the Clique and the ADB (Anti-Dalish Brigade) and they're set up so that they can quickly organize 'hits' on any thread they want. I've ran into a few members of the Clique outside BSN, so they're not simply content to troll on BSN alone.
If you manage to avoid the trolls and the more controversial topics, you should be fine with roaming around BSN. Hope this helps. ![]()
