So I was thinking in the original series you could romance a girl in the first then another in second and yet another in the third but when you romanced someone it didn't really matter to the last girl that you left her. Also if you romanced Ashley in the first then romanced tiara in the second tiara never mentioned that you liked Ashley and wonder if you were done with her or anything like that. If you did that type of romance and then went on to the third there was no mention of it when you went for someone else. I say all this because if you end up making more games for a new series can you make it more realistic in the romancing part because I think it would be better if what you did in the romancing side effected the way characters treat each other and the conversations and all that kind of thing.

I think Bioware should script in 'The Crazy Ex' routines for if a player cheats on a romances option. You go to your armor locker and your ME:A Collectors Edition pathfinder in-game hoodie goes missing (permanently). The new headlamps you installed on the Mako get smashed out in a "routine med-supply drop off" mission. Email messages denouncing your 'Paragon' image or shaming your new 'Renegade' morality flood into your omni-tool every time you complete an objective.

That would open a whole new dimension to Role Playing, and for some unfamiliar with how relationships work, a bit of reality. Bioware, do it. Do it.

Some LIs get pissed when you cheat, but they get over it after like 1 mission. For broshep, Liara/Ashley and Tali can also have a short, passive aggressive exchange on the Geth Dreadnought if you romance one of the former and the latter, but it otherwise never comes up and they're typically chummy.

It'd be goddamn hilarious if Liara went all shadow broker on you and poisoned your food, granting a critical mission failure should you try to cheat.

I'm pretty sure that if you romance anyone in ME2, after romancing either Kaiden or Ash in ME1, whichever of them survives doesn't actually forgive you in ME3.

Most of the previous LIs mentioned it. Liara's mad about it, but Kaidan/Ashley gets the most angry at betrayal. Tali takes it the easiest.

My femShep reconnected with Kaidan and resumed her relationship with him in ME3 after romancing Thane in ME2, so that is incorrect.

Well Thane is dying and sort of breaks it off with Shep before he dies. He says something like "we always new it would end" and
"live well with the time you have" which is pretty much a brush off. Now I think it wold have been great to see some jealousy between Garrus and Kaidan, but I guess bioware thought femshep wasn't worth the fight like manshep got with his LIs. So headcanon everyone:

Considering Thane's rather heartfelt speech and subsequent prayer for Shepard as he's dying, that was the opposite of being brushed off or breaking up. Both characters always knew that he was dying, and they both knew that things were quite likely to end with him dying. However, he wants to make sure that she goes on living after him and that she forgives herself for the things she's had to do along the way, etc. I think you're completely mischaracterizing the nature of Thane's death scene and the depth of emotion involved.

They certainly could and possibly should make certain LIs display jealousy in certain situations if there's an ongoing love triangle. It depends on whether or not there's still an attraction between the protagonist and the original LI, whether or not there's a legitimate grievance on the part of one or more of the people involved in the triangle, and the personalities involved. Some people might be more prone to jealousy, while others might be able to deal with a situation and move on more easily (that's assuming that there's something to forgive - if you broke up or decided to bail, well, don't complain later if someone didn't wait <x> years for you, etc.).

No see he says that and breaks it off with her before the KL fight when she first visits him so she can move on and bang other people and he can bang his wife in drell heaven. The deathbed prayer is the same for all Sheps unless you are renegade so I never got anything romantic out of it. Any portrayal of jealousy is pretty much left up to Kaidan and Garrus, tak tak!

They will focus in a more personal history and not in the already known war hero, probably they will improve in to that.

Maybe we will gain our N7 rank, hope they give more weight to the romances and make them few to choose, so they could give more depth in to each one of them.

Generally speaking, I don't think the world and the characters react as much as they should about you being an unapolegetic douchebag.

You should see what Trish and Yennefer do to you if you attempt to date both at the same time.

I don't play TW3 so I'm curious to know.

Well I would certainly like cheating to have more impact. Liara called you out on it in LotSB but ultimately it made no impact. You could promise her then and there that you will come back to her, have a lot of little blue children and then go back to ship and cheat on her without no consequences.

To make it better they should avoid removing companions from the game and then bringing them back later, and make making up next to impossible.

I mean these people are saving the galaxy. I feel sometimes in the appeal for realism, we forget what a story is about or that themes are important. The fact that some people go on rampages when not told they are broken up and are cheated on, doesn't mean these characters would give into such pettiness so quickly.

Also its not always realistic. Most people I know who have been cheated on get depressed, not even. Nevermind a military mission just shouldn't allow such tomfoolery. Anyone who takes it personally has to get discliplined (including the main character because fraternazation just became a problem). I agree that if you cheat, you shouldn't be able to romance certain characters again, but that means those who romanced Thane or Jacob are even more screwed.

Don't forget that the whole cheating thing is kinda unclear with the VS since they practically break up with you on Horizon, so I actually thought they made too much of a deal about it. But people being a little cool towards each other, I get, but never crazy ex unless it makes sense in character, AKA Jack wouldn't be petty with your email, she would shockwave you to the next wall, and explain her displeasure, that would be about it, but open hostility may make sense.

But I mean she is also the least mature romance option, (I love her, and her actions make sense with her past, but she isn't very mature in how she deals with things) Tali, Liara, Kaiden, Ashley, Thane, Jacob, Miranda, and Garrus are just not made of pettiness on that scale. Many people are, but most of them are not saviors of the galaxy. Jack makes up with enormous powers and a backstory of explanation. I prefer less reality TV in action space games.

I have a feeling that the majority of people who play the game would fall into that trap. I don't recall any game who would punish you for cheating, so there is essentially no consequences.
