Hi, just want to start by saying how much I like this game. It does have a few things I would to add.

First and foremost, I would love if you added an Origin-like-dlc for your created characters. If you could add how the Inquisitor ended up in the chantry and what events led up to their previous affiliations decided to send them in the first place. I think this would open up more original characters and really flesh out the story. Much like Origins, it would give a distinct reason to try new races and characters. Because honestly, once you start, there really is no difference between the races besides some minor dialogue changes. But if there was an origin and subsequent side quests related to it, it would really make it more interesting and varied.

And then there was the issue of how the Inquisitor became the Herald. We only know the Inquisitor just stumbled upon the ceremony. And all I'm thinking as it happens is that my Inquisitor was looking for a bathroom. There is no explanation for how it happened or why. We know that the Elder One used the Divine, but we don't know why it had to be her. I think this and many others questions about the beginning could still be addressed.

Second, I would really like to add longer hairstyles to the Qunari look. I know that it could cause problems but if you can just make the hairstyles just a little longer I think it would make the Qunari race just more more appealing. And if you could add just a few more race based armors, that would be awesome.

And along the lines of equipment, could you add the Vigilance longsword from Awakening and an upgraded version of the refined greatsword and Inquisitor sword and shield would be welcome additions.

Please please consider.

We already get that with the character description and some War Table missions. You also have some dialogue that lets you define your character's backstory more. I'd rather they not do an actual Origin DLC because 1) That takes away from other DLCs, and 2) I don't want my character to be predefined like Hawke or Shepard.

As for the Inquisitor just stumbling into the ceremony, that's exactly what happened. Divine Justinia calls out for help, we hear it and run in, and we get the Anchor and sent into the Fade as the Temple of Sacred Ashes explodes and the Breach forms.

I'm all for more race-related content however, like more weapons, armors, and customization options based on various cultures. The Descent has something like this where if you play as a Dwarf you get unique dialogue options a few times.

I understand your point, but I still have to disagree. I don't exactly want predefined characters like Hawke or Shepard, but I think more explanation for the beginning is still needed. The Elder One used the Divine, but why? Why her and not someone else? And I get that it supposed to be a matter of chance or fate or whatever you want to believe. But I think it would still be interesting to see why out of everyone in the entire Conclave, no one searched for her and yet the Herald just happened upon it. Even if that is the case, I think seeing it is different then just reading about it.

And I think I would say the same about my Origin DLC idea. They had just small changes in Origins that just created distinctions between races and origins. Because I like how in Origins, if you came from the Alienage, characters treated you differently. But in Inquisition, for example, even if you were Dalish, you were greeted differently, but that's it. You still had to do the same quests as you would if you were Qunari or Human or Dwarf and that was one of the few references even made to being Dalish.

Maybe they can't make too many changes, but still, I feel that my elf, human, or dwarf character are not different besides their appearance and a couple War table missions. Like your Descent response, I just want small changes that actually reference your background. I mean, no one really bats an eyelash that the Herald is a qunari or a dwarf. I know there is a piece of dialogue that says people will find it odd, but throughout the game, it really isn't an issue at all. There is very few references to prejudice towards elves either. I'm not saying I want racism but all the races are pretty much treated the same and I just think it was better in Origins.

But that's just my opinion. I totally understand if you don't agree.

Completely agree. Especially with the origins stories aspect.

Having the opportunity to experience one's origin story to me is superior to reading about it. For example, having Arl Howe order the death of Cousland family and others had significance to me because I saw what happened and we able to meet the Cousland's and see how much they cared about my character and each other. Being told that my family was killed in a codex I don't believe carries the same weight or meaning as seeing it happen firsthand.

Origins stories in my opinion were the perfect balance that avoided having a set protagonist while also allowing freedom of race and gender without losing character backstory and depth. I've never seen it in any of the other RPGs I've played (even the best) and I'd purchase origin story DLC in a heartbeat for Inquisition.
