so basically, you lost. GG.
See, this is that attitude that sets the MP gamers apart from the SP. Of all the things that could have been said, Tali just says GG. SP gamers could learn something here.

Watch the trailer. The one with the generic n7 someone shooting and jumping on some planet and horribly out of place Johnny Cash song.
Oh, right, the trailer. That wasn't exactly clear from your post. Anyway, I think if you read that much negativity into the trailer, maybe a part of you were looking for the opportunity to do so. At any rate, I'll be excited enough for both of us, so it's all good ![]()

Learn to view debates as a war of words? Where one 'wins' and the other 'loses'? It's ironic you'd have that outlook, actually, seeing as MP is co-operative ![]()
Well, some people weren't happy with limited dialog options in favour of auto-dialog, or the ninja snooping quests, where you overhear someone talking to get a quest.
Not interested in MP in any shape or form so I could not care less, just as long the single player is not affected by it
Judging by the forums and the amount of rage, the MP was loved and a welcome addition to the game, but the SP was hated. Even after the new ending.
Multi-player made ME3 worth keeping. At least it was fun, unlike visiting starbrat. Kept me busy until the next Halo game.

I think Bioware learned their lesson in 2012 here.
"Coop MP" as in no "PvP MP"?
"Coop MP" as in no "PvP MP"?
yes MP will be the same as it was in the last game. Horde mode and I would bet no campaign MP at all.
Don't like MP
I don't buy it. BW's trying to return to a SP experience w/ TOR w/ the next story coming in October. I doubt they would risk sending Mass Effect down the TOR path by putting Co-Op in SP. The convo might have to resemble TOR which is clunky at best or have other players wait. No, doesn't sound like fun. Also, if BW is good at anything, it is character. To do it justice, you'd have to do it D&D style, where one person is the N7, another is an asari, another a Turian, etc and that could rob the game of fully fleshed out squadmates. The other way is to have two to four N7 PCs running around which doesn't sound appealing at all. Add to the fact that BW loves to overcorrect and the backlash to MP affecting SP in ME3 (when they said it wouldn't) would make them very shy of combining the two even further. Note, DAI MP had almost nothing to do w/ the main game and could be ignored completely. Expanding MP, sure, why not. Give it its own story, great. I just don't see BW making a clunky SP experience and risking alienating so many SP fans to boot.
If this means co-op in story mode... then fahking awesome.
that is interesting, it will surely feel different if we have a Co-Op in story mode.... i dont know, maybe i'm selfish xD but i dont think i would play with anyone other than myself when MEA is on my tv screen xD all for myself...
Assuming the article is true. When it says co op MP in a "really big" galaxy. That is how I interpret it. Obviously this would be purely optional, but that is the way I understand it. Normal co op would not be in a "galaxy", but on specific maps.
"Really big galaxy" doesn't strike you as PR/buzzwords just a tiny bit?

Yet, Bio is hinting at something new. It may be a small step.
Nevertheless, I expect some form of crossover. It can be as simple as both SP and MP being independant but acquired gear can be used in either game space. If successful, a followup DLC with more integration will probably come out. Then we all know what ME5 will be like.

Allow me to tell you how ME5 will be like. It will be like Dead Space 3 where they punched down our throat a co-op experience to people that actually wanted a SP survival-horror game, consequently alienating their traditional fanbase (that wanted an pure survival horror SP game) and performing much less than what EA was expecting. Consequence: Dead Space franchise was shot down and who knows when it will return if it will at all.
BW knows very well their core fans are SP RPG gamers, they don't want to disappoint us (if you think otherwise then ask yourself how many would pay here for an MP DLC). In my experience (decades of gaming) franchises that alienated their core-fans ended up quite bad.
Let me put it like this in a BW game MP is the sauce or the potatoes around the main steak which is SP. People that loves meat only tolerate the sauce or the potatoes (putting them aside on the plate) because they still love the steak but once the potatoes or the sauce are the main dish well there is no point in going to that steak-house we used to appreciate over the years....because they aren't serving meat any longer.

However, I am totally good with the concept of steak and chips with an almost unlimited top-up of chips which you can continue to enjoy long after the steak is finished
Sure me too as long as the meat is there and it is the main dish. ![]()
Is there a video of it? Where? Where? ![]()
THey should have done this in Dragon age inquisition where your co op partner played as their Hawke or Warden.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. I mean, sucks that they destroyed Dead Space 3. A lot. But at the very least, departing from the traditional formula for Co-Op killed the franchise dead. That sends a messave that these changes don't sell.

Who said Dead Space was...dead?
Visceral is working on Battlefront right now. And with Mirrors Edge getting another release after a while I am sure Dead Space is going to come back.
Hopefully they make it a good game. Truth be told the entire series has been very uneven; that first game was not that fun honestly, but neither was the third game in the end.

A Visceral employee said that DS3 sold around the same as the others. Unfortunately with neither the old formula or the new one working the message is probably just that Dead Space doesn't sell (enough).
And that is how we got Battlefield Hardline. At least their Star Wars game has potential.
We could post a laundry list of things that were going to be in DA:I that were nowhere to be found in the final released product.
This is BW-EA. I'm not really going to pay attention to anything they say will or won't be in the game until it's released.

I don't know, I guess it's nice enough, but nothing really took my breath away.
Also, I listened to some reviewers who got some limited play time, and they were not too impressed either.
The lack of a SP campaign is probably going to be the final nail in the coffin of this game for me.
