Hello!

 

I'm looking for fun builds to get rid of my cryo ammo's. I know some builds but maybe some of you have some better suggestions.

 

I know the Falcon Concussive shot Human Soldier build and can't say i really enjoy that build.

 

Yesterday i played some with Krogan Sentinel with Incinerate specced for Freeze Combo. Unfortunately again, can't say i was amazed with that. 

 

In the single campaign a meelee based infiltrator with maxed cryo was maybe my favourite class, but in multi for some reason i can't seem to enjoy playing with cryo ammo.

 

NO snap freeze, reegar, flamer, acolyte, AIU, Juggernaut builds please.

Batarian Soldier with Crusader: freeze them, punch in the face, repeat.

I think Hurricane with TSol or Quarksman is the fastest way to get rid of your cryo ammo. Hurricane's ROF is 600, which is high but not spectacular, but it shoots out two bullets at a time, so with effective ROF of 1800 (Marksman!) you'll be spending those cryo rounds really, really fast.

AIU Ice Cream... One of my favorite builds for screwing around Platinum. Surprisingly, it works well.

This was going to be one of my suggestions, and my build is very similar. Cryo isn't the most effective ammo for her, but it's about the most fun.

There's a lot of gentle good humor here, Aedolon was clearly just trying to make us smile.

 

The Cryo Human Soldier you mentioned is an obvious one, but other weapons can be more fun on them. The Avenger is ridiculously OP with this build, notably vs Reapers. The Falcon with Cryo IV on the Volus Merc Sentinel is also hugely amusing because you have the combination of Drone, Decoy, Falcon stagger, and Cryo slow/freeze. You won't score high (because your teammates finish all the kills) but you can control the enemies to a very high degree for your squad. It's one of the few non-Krogan kits that makes me laugh out loud when I play it.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the cheesy flamer, acolyte and cryo combo.

Anyone with freeze combo incinerate benefits greatly. I reserve one of my human engineers for this purpose and generally use the adas. I normally don't like the gun but it just seems like one that fits with cryo rounds. Also if you manage to freeze multiple enemies you can chain detonate with overload.

I like just sticking cryo on an Adas on the vorcha soldier. Something satisfying about setting fire to frozen people...

Also just sticking cryo on the Adas is fun on any class. Shock wave frozen enemies for more lols, while bat gauntletting them in the face for max lols.

Justicar / Acolyte, as long as you have at least 3 ranks in Pull, though 4 is even better. Genuine fun.

 

Other than that, Physiolosopher's Human Engineer suggestion is the one I enjoy most - using either the ADAS or Falcon. You can take hard cover and keep entire waves at bay.

Cryo Krysae TSol (why has no one mentioned that yet?)

Marksman Krysae to freeze groups of mooks, Krysae + Conc shot to shatter singles and Proxy to help with bosses.

My 3 builds I use cryo ammo on:

 

Adas Quarksman

 

Lancer HSol

 

Acolyte Trooper (has since been replaced by incendiary claymore Trooper)

 

TSol Krysae is also one I've heard is fun, but I personally never tried it. Unfortunately because of the incendiary glitch, incendiary ammo is better on most kits that have incinerate, and makes freeze combo kind of pointless (except maybe on the QFE).

Flamer kit with Acolyte is the most effective use for them.

I like Cryo on several different kits as well, engineers with Adas/Cryo is more than platinum viable, works great on soldier kits as well - Kroldier with Claymore/Cryo is not only fun but also highly effective.

of course i don't mean that, just in theory. i have 100+ lvl 4 cryo ammo and my activity is way too low to make use of all of them. But i'm really low on disruptor IV for example.

As long as you buy packs, there is no way to get rid of Cryo Ammo before the store gives you more.

I prefer the Falcon+Cryo not on the Human Soldier, but on the QFE. It synergizes well with Incinerate and provides an effective mechanism to set up the 2x damage combos if your Cryo Blast fails to hit the target. Plus the shock turret + falcon offers some major CC.

Acolyte and csmg on the human cryo soldier, skip adrenaline rush, take grenade gear and a power amp. Absolutely destroys organics. It's my number one played setup. A lot of people here have seen me play it.

I've never tried it, but I suppose a Polar Paladin build without ED could be enjoyable.

If you really have to use it Iceman Adas QME. Lulzy amount of stagger/CC provided by grenades, Adas and cryo ammo. Further, he has access to all 3 tech combos, and is lore friendly.

Cryo Adas Quarksman also provides many laughs, especially when your teammates start to complain about the sound.

This is a good one.  Every tech combo in play at all times.  So much destruction.  So much noise.


Turian Soldier with Krysae is a fun build.  The krysae's delay and concussive shot's cooldown time nearly perfectly with each other.  Alternate between them three times, then autoreload with marksman and get three fast krysae shots.  One of the two ways to make the krysae fun again (along with the salarian infiltrator).

 

And I usually put cryo on my melee krentinel.  CryoGraal+incinerate really softens up armored targets for the final punch.

Explosive is worse by far.
