even something of a hybrid between normal shooter mode and vehicles would be pretty nice. By which I mean a mech-suit that you "drive", in the same way people would drive the Fallout power armor, or the robocop suit, the iron man suit etc. Think of it as a soldier weight class or two above the heavy cerberus troopers, but not quite as high as the ATLAS, or ME1 mako. There are gameplay implications exclusive to this sort of infantry class style of shooter only heavier and more mechanical, ways of enhancing movement by equipping wheels, or thrusters, and better, but small enough to navigate the interiors full of narrow passes and (potentially) destructible objects that Mass Effect games have lots of.

I hope they put combat vehicles, we'll learn more about that (hope) on the N7 day.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. So far the new Mako doesn't have any weaponry on it.

Ah the bridge on Feros was epic as combat goes. And exploring Illos for the first time was aaaaaaaaaah chills. It was good, expand on those kind of things bioware! It was golden gameplay moments.

That's fine. In ME1, I just ran everything over or smashed the geth hard enough to send them into the lava on Therum.

Honestly, if they don't implement vehicle combat, I'll question their sanity. If we are really supposed to spend hours exploring in the MAKO, we'd better have something more to do than drive across vast open planes. Who would want gameplay similar to the DA:I horses?

Want to ride a big mech.

I also hope we can take our ship into battle.

Really? I didn't see (or feel) anything particularly epic about those moments. Though to be fair I never used the Mako's guns, since they just meant an XP penalty and (after about lv. 20) were inferior to being on foot anyway.

This is why I hope XP earned per kill never returns to Mass Effect. It just seemed so silly to get out of the mako to gun down powerful enemies when your tank can dispatch them more effectively. It's like getting into a tank battle, and the troops just jump out of it to fire on the enemy tanks with their smaller guns.

Isn't that a problem more with vehicular fighting rewarding less xp than when being on foot, rather than the concept of per kill XP?

Making XP inversely proportional to a challenge would also be an issue though.

I want some type of low-altitude attack craft. Think of the T-47 Airspeeder from Star Wars.

yeah I think the Mako is exploration only you won't be using it for combat this time around. It'll kind of just be servoing the same purpose as the horses do in DAI I think. When it comes to combat I think it'll be down to you asnd your team to do it on foot.

It was an odd decision. XP should be the same no matter how the enemy mooks are dispatched.

This. I am usually not one for "teabagging" as a concept.

That said, I would be lying if I said I never hopped up and down on a Colossus I had just ran over on Virmire.
