You can buy dragons material with the new DLC "The Descent" (100 bones 100 scales etc...)
If I remember correctly there were some tier 4 material in Jaws , just very limited.
You have the veil Quartz ,(an ore you can only see with a veilfire torch)
There's some animals with tier 4 level leather.
You can find the carcass of a ice dragon and loot it.
It's probably not enough to create armor and weapons for your full party though.

Dragon materials are also available for purchase in Black Emporium, after you reach certain level.
Tho it's not much.

For the descent dlc it is not availble on ps3 , as for the rest it is not enough to make all the gears u want lik different staffs each with a different rune and things like that you should be able to do
Little tip for you. You can farm those fade rifts in JOH to get as much veil quarts as you like. Once you've closed the rift, Simply take the veil quarts and whatever else you want, but be sure to leave one item behind. Go somewhere else, such as Skyhold, and when you go back the rift will have more Veil quarts in it.
I do this all the time to get the 5 guard on hit silverite Fade touched mat.

So in joh , when i close i rift i just don't take all what drops and leave one item and it will reopen when i travel back ?
Yes, exactly. A couple of them drop weapons, and they respawn too. The veil quarts is just as good as Dragon bone. The only difference is, if you use it to make a staff, it deals electricity damage rather than fire. The best ones to farm are the two at either side of the swamp camp.

Good to know! Thank you much for that most awesome tip!

K thx alot will use that to make electrix staffs ^^
There is a bug using Veil quartz to make a staff as it may lead to staff that makes no sounds during its attacks.
*I Play on PC so might not affect console players, I'm unsure

Hmm. I knew about the 0-armor shield bug. I didn't know about silent staves.

Hmm. I knew about the 0-armor shield bug. I didn't know about silent staves.
It happens with staves crafted using tier 4 materials Veil Quartz and Ice Dragon Bone as it primary material both produce silent staves which sucks as it means only the tier 4 material you can use dragon bone and that mean your stuck with fire damage.
It might be a bug that is uncommon but it has happened across multiple characters for me.

I just crafted 2 staves, one with Ice Dragon, the other with Veil Quartz, both are silent with normal attacks. I don't think its uncommon at all.

I thought the no armour rating bug was fixed a couple of patches ago? I'll have to test it -along with the silent staves- next time I'm on my Xbone.
