BTW: Samson counts as a "Behemoth" for this challenge
What am I missing here about not being able to select random map, seeing as you can do that? Specific factions, right, can't be done but would be nice, but when was random map ever not a thing?
Random map wasn't a think from the start, I don't think.
If the leader can select a random map, it must have been added after launch. I haven't hosted a game in a long time. Anyway, what needs to happen is allow us to choose factions, but give incentives to choose random. Same applies to maps. I know I keep referencing ME3, but it just baffles me that it did so many things right that DAMP doesn't, when it's its predecessor! Anyway, ME3 gave you an XP bonus for choosing random maps and enemies. That would be even more useful here, because promotions actually do something. In other words, XP is more useful.

GOOD to know! Thanks!

I have had this in mind for some time -- why wouldn't they have just done this?
Being able to choose "Random Map" was not available at launch. That came about roughly two patches ago, maybe? Or with the DragonSlayer DLC, perhaps? I don't quite recall, but it was definitely added well into the game's lifespan, so wasn't always around.
Meanwhile, PS4 at 20,353/125,00.
Origin just crashed on me, while I was browsing through the Forum, looking if I already got an answer for my dagger kills problem.
Ah, well, I'm already on 21/30 and was in the menu screen anyway. ![]()
first game i play this week for the challenge, i have lost connection at zone 5/5... gg bioware
So far I played 5 solo games and out of these, three times I got darkspawn and each time it crashed to desktop in the middle of the game (3. or 4. area). Of course, I lost my challenge progress. Anyone else had this? I'm on PC.
So, what, Venatori + Ferelden Castle for the brute spam? Seems like the best bet.

I've had a couple of darkspawn solo games and I haven't had a crash yet. I'm on PC as well...
What's the Brute count on FC routine?
I've found with Venatori i have to leave the boss alive for ages in order to get 6 of them.
I think I just got 10 from the Venatori Faction in FC.
Fyi, darkspawn bolters count as behemoths..............
=)
Well, that would explain the sudden jump in FC... ![]()
I think I was was ~halfway done the challenge, then solo FC darkspawn + FC Venatori = Done.
I forget, does difficulty outside nightmare+ impact enemy types spawned?
IGNORE THE NUG! ALL GANG ON THAT BEHEMOTH!
not a joke btw, was just in a game where a nug escaped because it spawned next to a brute.

Yes, this was something ME3 did great. You can choose all your settings, or you can roll random for progressive bonuses to xp and/or gold. Why hasn't this been implemented, especially in a game where enemies should determine your loadout pretty drastically. We should be able to prepare different abilities or elemental damage and resistances depending on what we are about to face. Do you want lightning or fire weapons, should I equip a barrier ring or armor piercing, do I want a skill that improves guard damage or rather a ranged attack to deal with despair demons. The list goes on.If the leader can select a random map, it must have been added after launch. I haven't hosted a game in a long time. I came. I stole kills. I walked off into the sunset with my salvage.

I'm a helper, oh and in order to get your pipboy, you need to keep this song in your head for exactly 365 days, no more, no less and then...something, something, magical something.
I finished mine around 7:00 ET yesterday. I was running with PUGs for the first 20 or so, and then said FTS, brought in "Little Elvis" (Silent Sister) on private FC, and got 9 Pride demons on one run. This put me at 29/30, so I ran one last PUG and KS'd the first behemoth I saw. Mission accomplished.
I feel so dirty now. ![]()
Played about a dozen games with friends over the course of the day. It happened naturally somewhere in the middle of that. I don't see what the big deal is with people pushing the solo games so much. It's only as 'anti-coop' as you make it.
At least one good thing* came out of this weekend's chests:
Next stop, Hakkon's!
* Actually two things...I also finally got a purple heals belt, so woo! Now if only I can score that HoK ring before DragonRacer...
Oh, don't worry, RNG seems willing to grant everyone else a SHOK ring before me.
Mortiel just got his first last night. And he's been playing about as long as I have.
