Not sure why community goals wouldn't get hit, unless your kills stop counting once you finish your challenge.

It's not necessarily that the kills stop counting, it's more that there's likely a higher amount of people running through solo matches until they get the personal challenge done, which artificially inflates the total numbers killed once they start playing together.

 

Take Players Alice, Bob, Charlie, and Deanna. Pretend there's a maximum of 10 targets available per match. Alice and Bob run through their matches together. Charlie and Deanna each play solo. That's a potential maximum of 30 targets downed. Then Charlie and Deanna finish their personal challenges and join Alice and Bob. Now you've got one session, with a maximum of 10 targets downed.

Yeah I guess that's true, but it's not like a Dragon challenge where people are specifically playing to kill dragons and they may stop after completing. I mean every single match has some of the target enemy, so even if you're not working towards the individual target you'll always be working towards the community.

Like I said, the challenge had me considering quitting kthx bai. But I figured I owed myself and the game to give it a try. I solo'd FC with my templar and got all of 4 points from the pride demons that spawned. So do that 6 or 7 more times? ..... nopes.

 

Maybe the best way is to jump in, try to steal a kill, and if you fail, just bail out and try again somewhere else. If you succeed in the kill steal, just leeroy jenkins it. It will end quickly in either victory or defeat.

 

Also, I am drunk and trying not to sound it.

Not entirely true. I got 8 or 9 Pride Demons in one FC threatening run. Maybe that was an outlier, but it worked for me.

It isn't like you had a one day limit on the objective. You should be able to complete it just by playing regularly.

 

Also, if you get Venatori or Darkspawn there are more targeted enemies (7 on Threatening). Demons and Templars were not worth fighting when it comes to this challenge.

I just played normally and got it quite fast. Though I was playing threatening with some pretty powerful gear, I think I got lucky and 9 of them were in a single match.

soloing threatening on the castle against Venatori definitely offered the best returns for me but like Rolenka my first few matches were not especially bountiful and I began to think I'd not get it done or that it was going to take more rounds than I'd have time for this weekend

First challenge I've actually had to convince myself to do. Losing progress twice to crashes did not help at all.

UPDATE: I just backed all the way out of the game client and restarted it, and the Victory Chest was there. So if it's not showing, just restart the game.

Yunno you could always be a good lil boy/girl and buy a new console and another copy of the game. Like Bioware wants you too.

I am pretty sure the kills count for every one in the lobby, so the 2 playing together would have gotten equivalent to 20, and all four together would have contributed 40.

 

This is how it has worked for most challenges, and I am fairly sure I did not have to actually kill any of the targets in my games before completion.

 

As in I was legionnaire, and completed it in 3 games despite never getting the final hits on most of the targets.

My Victory chest actually had something decent, heartstring bow... Too bad my Hakkon Bow is way better but I was surprised.
