In Mass Effect 2, at Illium, you will encounter Charr, a Krogan which is extremely fallen in love with Ereba, an Asari.
You can interact with Ereba and convince her to to leave him alone or join him again. If you convince her to join again Charr, you will find them at Tuchanka. She is not so sure to remain in that place.

In Mass Effect 3 you will find him killed by the Rachni during a mission given by Wrex/Wreav. I got his datapad that contain his last wishes and delivered to Ereba in the Citadel.
My feeling by listening Ereba crying his beloved Krogan was so sad...

You know, Krogan are true warriors, "war machines", but they can fall in love too.

 

What was your reaction about this thing?

One of the most emotional moments in the series, IMHO.

 

We're more emotionally invested in the few as opposed to the many. ME3's focus on the staggering amounts of losses might have made for a more exciting game, but the moments when it looked at the individual havoc the war caused were definitely the better parts.

I always made them end up together. Depending on your choice in ME2, she is either pregnant or not as his poetic dialogue differs based on whether they were together or they weren't. A lot of the ambient stuff are very depressing as well like Joker's family.

One of the saddest moments in the game. And ME3 had a lot of sad moments. Which I loved.

I would've liked to see more in that moment. A cutscene, a replacement of the soundtrack when Ereba cried, like when it happens with Thane.
