So you know how you'll switch to your archer to move him while he's busy firing away on a target? Maybe there's someone coming at him from the side and you want to move him out of harm's way real quick...but it's worse then if you were trying to move him underwater. He'll just stay locked onto that target, sloooowly moving the direction you're trying to move him. I'll often jump to break him out of this but sometimes it doesn't work...it's horribly frustrating, does anyone know an easier way to get your dang archer to do what you want?
Help with Archer movement speed while targetting, please!

Not really. Other than something like Evade. Strafing Shots passive will at least make you move a bit faster while firing.

^^ What he said. I think they did that on purpose to to penalize the archer for being able to do high damage from a range. Get the Evade ability if you want to just quickly dive out of harms way and Strafing Shots will get you close to moving normal speed while still firing.

And, Leaping Shot? The skill was made for that omg-i'm-about-to-get-flanked situation.

Evade is the best tool for this. In fact, I would recommend that every Rogue build have Evade. Yeah I know some would say that Stealth is the key Rogue ability, but I would say that it is Evade. The Tempest specialization makes Stealth rather unnecessary, even Kihm says so.
So yes, get Evade as early as you can and keep it in your skillbar. It has low cooldown, low stamina and upgraded it does some damage.
Leaping Shot is a shotgun blast of sorts, not an evasion tool. This is especially apparent in the Descent DLC where liberal usage of Leaping Shot will result with your character's health hovering at the healthgate due to falling down.

Wow I'm glad I came here to ask...thanks for all the advice guys...very much. I'd never even considered evade.
