No. SP and MP should stay separate. Completely.
this.
mp should be able to put gameplay before story.
in damp we couldnt get a blood mage cuz of story reasons. (and a couple of other reasons.)

It depends. If you mean by "multiplayer" in the sense of I can create a character, and then my friend can make a character, and then we can both go through the campaign together with he or she being a party member for me, then yes. I'd love that.
But for the most part, the multiplayer aspects like ME3 should remain separate from the single player aspects. Imagine if you played something like Halo and content was locked out of the campaign because you weren't playing Online. You'd be really upset, and rightfully so, you shouldn't have to play another mode to see all of the content for the mode you are playing.
I'm perfectly fine with MP and SP benefitting each other with things like money, items, etc so long as nothing is exclusive.
What I don't want is to have the SP made with MP in mind, like for example having it so other players join and interact with the story.
The red line for not purchasing anything is seeing people appearing (or the possibility of doing so) in my SP game. Once they cross that line I'm not going to care at all about their games any longer regardless of cool story, characters or anything they throw at me.
Active Strike Team Missions:
When you encounter a Strike Team mission in the Single-Player mode, you can leave your Strike Team at their base and decide to tackle the mission yourself with your Multiplayer roster of characters. You also have the option of tackling the mission by yourself, or recruiting up to three friends to play with you. The more friends you bring, the greater the challenge and the greater the reward. These missions will play out using the Next Mass Effect’s multiplayer Horde mode (more details on this later). These missions will include a variety of thematically appropriate objectives, like defending a Settlement against Khet attacks, or recovering a Remnant artifact off of a planet before an outlaw gang gets there first. By taking an active role in strike team missions, you can earn special Single-player rewards in addition to the usual multiplayer specific characters, weapons, weapon mods, and pieces of equipment which can be customized between missions. Additionally, players who join another person’s Strike Team mission will receive bonus in-game currency and multiplayer XP for helping others with their missions.
Multiplayer “Horde” Mode:
The next Mass Effect’s “Horde” multiplayer pits you and up to three of your friends against waves of enemy troops on various battlefields throughout the galaxy. Players fight together to survive increasingly difficult enemy attacks and accomplish objectives, like disabling a bomb near a colony base or assassinating a target. Progress through multiplayer missions to gain XP and earn new multiplayer specific weapons, characters, weapon mods, and pieces of equipment, which can be customized between matches. Multiplayer play will also earn you APEX funds (in-game currency), which can be used to purchase items and gear in the Single Player game.
I assume Strike Team is our squad and if so then I don't mind sp sharing mp maps and rewards. The only thing I really object to is single player content being unlocked by multi player.
And yes I'm including the Skyhold dragon theme in that. It could be unlocked by killing sp high dragons too and the only reason it isn't is because the dragon theme is a multi player promotion gimmick.
I would like a variation of the swtor system.
- Remove the timer because that's just to deal with afk people and strangers. Playing ME:A with a friend, normally you're going to be on skype while you play and you'll want to talk about the choices.
- Add an option to pass. So you let the oher people decide what to say.
- Limit it to 3 instead of 4 because a squad of 3 is the Mass Effect way.
The problem is that maybe playing with three humans instead of one human and two AI companions would make the game too easy, or too difficult if you don't play with friends. Having the two modes at the same time may prove too troublesome to keep gameplay fun. Also interruptions would be a big mess. I have no idea.

This is true for me as well. There are more than enough MMO/multiplayer games out there for people to enjoy.

I assumed 'strike team' was like the agents in DAI. Send them out via a war table like mechanism. So it would be like in DAI where you could send agents to help some Orlesian soldiers or find some items, but instead of sending agents you could go yourself with your squad or in multiplayer?

They kind of wrote themselves into a corner with blood magic. The lore made it too powerful to properly implement in game, either SP or MP. If you could mind control that MP ogre and have it kill all the mooks for you, where's the challenge?

I don't trust them to have any content at all being affected by multiplayer. As I posted earlier, that opens up the possibility of MP bonuses in SP, like earning enough cash in MP to unlock SP only features that exist but are too expensive if you play SP only.
I hope the MP will allow you and a friend to play together in the story mode but be active in it so the 2ed player to make decisions and he or she will talk and will be shown in cut scene and will have a option to pick their background story they will have to make this character so the character will not be your story mode character of your own so you guys think about this never have been done
Like the Saints Row 3/4 and Fable 2/3? No thanks.
I understand what you mean but I think your looking at like GTA 5 ONLINE and understand I don't want it like that but The capacity of two people not 30 but think about the possibilities romance the cutscenes and interacting with each other and you can have the option to play solo or co-op with your friend
Or having a random stranger start killing everybody (including your PC's wife) in your world where you rule as a paragon ruler. Which happened to me every time I tried that co-op crap in Fable 2/3 and have even less love for story based co-op games than mp deathmatches (which at the very least can be fun with strangers). I'm a loner and don't want online friends bothering me when I'm playing a game, if I want that I would have four people over playing Smash Bros or Mario Party.
I rarely play MP and I don't want to not be able to do something in SP because I didn't unlock it in MP.
I prefer not to have SP and MP touching. 2 very separate entities.

Oh, I'm sure Bio has something up their sleeve. They have hinted at "new" and "dynamic" and possible HORDE mode play.
Add the fact that EA is eager to have a continuous online revenue stream and I can only conclude that the game will encourage crossover SP-MP play.
There is no surprise if a character is "unlocked" in MP to add to your SP squad. It stays with EA's philosophy of encouraging MP + micro$transactions. Neat idea, yes?

Well, it depends really.
I think the character is a bit much, but unlocking guns or skins, that has more incentive id say without being intrusive.
If it is characters for single-player, I guarentee it will be an uproar. It would be an interesting experiment though, but it might be pushing it too far for some.

Perhaps.
I'd go as far as making the unlockable character an easter egg. This approach has the benefit of avoiding the forced aspect. That is, Bio will mention, oh I dunno, six regular characters with a 7th as a surprise. Still think there will be an uproar?
I hope that MP is heavily integrated into SP; war assets, better gear, more optimal story outcomes, the full shebang.
I suppose none of this matters anymore, since BioWare already learned its lesson when it did this the first time.

Did they? DA isn't ME so I wouldn't be so sure of that. At least Bioware has actually made a game in the past 4 years that has had this as a feature, unlike those joke posters asking for multiplayer to be omitted.
It was a great idea, giving better outcomes to those better players who put in more effort. ME's hardly the only game with both SP and MP to do such cross mode content, yet its the only one I know of where anyone really cares all that much. If people don't want to play content, they deal with the fact that they won't get to see the benefits of said content. Those who are lesser players want to have their cake and eat it too, though, crying on the forums instead of simply doing what must be done. Nothing was stopping them from getting that ending except their own irrational hangups over a videogame mode*
*people without an internet connection or an Iphone had a valid complaint, but they are in the vast minority among people who bought the game, and that issue is hardly raised as much as petulant "BUT I DON'T WANNA PLAY ANY MODE MARKED MP (even if I can totally play it solo)."

They did, and the example I had in mind was the Extended Cut DLC. BioWare undid the necessity for multiplayer to unlock any singleplayer content well before Inquisition existed.
I don't want them nagging the hell out of me this, though. AC:Un ity was awful with this. Just slangin' their stuff so hard it was annoying as hell.
They were like over eager prom dates. Trying too hard. Yeah, I know it's there, but on my time.
And I'm not sure what they mean by Strike Team. Can that be my PC and my squad, or is it like Brotherhood, or DAI where you send agents and read some BS about it all later? *yawn*
