Give us the option to punch all of our companions

Think of it: Punching Sera when she's whining about her cookies. Or better yet punching Vivienne after she's said, "My dear..." for the 100th time

I would settle just for punching Solas more.
I love him and think he's a great character, I just also think every conversation with him would be improved by a [Punch Solas] option. Hell, they could add that option to every conversation in the game - Diplomatic/Sarcastic/Agressive/Solas-Punching.)

Yeah, punchin' 'em's cool an' all... But burning them in righteous fire is where it's at.

Vivienne, Sera, Iron Bull, and Blackwell have got to be, hands down, the most whiney, annoying, moronic, arrogant, characters ever, When I get the guts, I will not invite any of them into the inquisition.
You can hit Iron Bull with a stick

DA3 has the most back talk from any DA title, Bull, Viv, Sera, Dorian and Solas are the worst of the lot and all need putting in their place. Remember who you're working for.

I dont know about throwing bones at everybody, but I'd love for the player to be able to have the last word and actually 'win' an argument with companions.

UGH! I knooooowww!! What happened to the whole (persuade/intimidate) reply system? Need that sort of conversation back instead of the wheel system.

The Inquisitor is definitely the most spineless kiss-ass of a protagonist I've seen so far. The previous protags would wipe the floor with someone as submissive and sycophantic (and boring--sorry, I just have to get that in there--my God) as them.
A leader is supposed to be assertive, charismatic, and strong, and the Inquisitor is none of these things. They're such wimps that it's no wonder most of their companions walk over them like they're doormats.
I think they should bring back the ability to kill off the companions somehow. The only thing protecting the companions we don't like, should we choose to recruit them, is (bad) writer armor, including the passive ineptitude they gave the Inquisitor. Everything is too safe, too theatrical, too loving, too shiny, etc. If we could kill off companions, or at least put them in their place when needed, I might actually consider recruiting the ones I hate again. At first I could tolerate IB, Viv, and Sera, but familiarity breeds contempt, and the more time I spent around them, the more I resented them, honestly. This is the first DA game where I hate more than one companion, so that's impressive.
I really don't hate this game, but it feels nothing like DAO or DA2, and I just can't bring myself to actually like it much. This supposed aRPG has the least amount of role-playing and choices (next to ME3) I've seen from Bioware so far. I can only hope DA4 is better. This wasn't supposed to turn into a rant, and yet it did. Oops... ![]()

I can understand a character like Viv (mastermind of the game and all) wining all the arguments, but SERA? Why are my inquisitors mute when it comes to Sera's whiny, idiotic temper tantrums?! Really, NO dialogue options to shut this pea-brained twit down?
Sera was made for the sole purpose of being annoying.
Who the hell would WANT to punch Dorian? Meanwhile, I've been wanting to beat the crap out of Sera, and nail her to the cross for the past year!

So, tell us how you really feel....
You don't have to recruit her, and by the sound of it, she might be just as happy with that as you likely would be.

I haven't recruited in her in my past two playthroughs. Too bad my first two inquisitors are stuck with that braindead moron. I don't bother talking to her, so I'm not throwing her out--besides, I'd want to punch her out first before doing so.
However, I wouldn't mind recruiting her if I could put in her place:
Shut up, Sera! Now sit, like a good doggie.

I agree.
I don't really want to hit anyone, but I would like to be able to tell them when they've gone too far or actually refute an argument for once.
(I don't want submissive bootlicks, but by the same token I'm tired of my Inquisitor having to just sit back and pretend like Vivienne's blatantly hypocritical and self-serving views are indisputable facts, or having to just let Sera insult everything I care about and throw childish temper-tantrums every time I don't do what she wants.)

Agreed. Inquistor lack of ability to acutally refute arguments and such is really infuriating. Especially the whole Bianca deal. I saw red on that one. But I would say the Inquistor didn't have alot of agency or input in alot of things that they should have. Also, I think they ouaght to bring back the ability to dismiss companions whenever and whoever. It was pretty lame that Sera was the only one with that option.

Which the Inquisitor is, is, and is, respectively. So why are you whining?

In a roleplaying game, the main character's personality should be up to the player.
