As far as I know, only the blacksmith serves you when you get to Skyhold. Everybody else (like Threnn, the apothecary, Flissa and Lysette) just wanders around Skyhold the remainder of the game doing nothing. Sure, the idea of saving people is morally right, but it IS a videogame, and on my 7th playthrough, I've no desire to waste time saving people that will give me one more line of dialogue the rest of the game.

Maybe don't do that next time, Bioware.

Not to mention some of them just QQ when you talk to them in Skyhold.

I know right, "oh you saved my life.. I'm very ungrateful because I got replaced" looking at you Seggrit!

There is no point. I don't even bother saving them (only those that are on my way maybe), and it makes for a better story actually. Otherwise it's just a bunch of some people you never knew died, what a tragic event

I didn't even realize they needed saving at 1st. Think I only managed to save one of them.

I do it for approval with Varric and Vivienne.

Also, I like seeing most of them walking around Skyhold.

There really should have been more to this.  At the very least when you talk to them in Skyhold they give you something out of appreciation.  Or maybe they become agents with new operations on the warboard.

Or maybe even continue to do the job they were already doing?  It was a big letdown when I reloaded a saved game several times to be able to save most of them, and the only thing that increased in Skyhold were the number of ingrates loafing around.

You have to save one character in order to get an extra merchant  stall at Skyhold.....

If you have Varric in your party during that mission, you get a "Greatly Approves" from him if you manage to save them all. Plus, he's part of the first avalanche cutscene. Other than that, I see no point to it at all.

None really other than approval or for extra people at Skyhold.

I guess Bioware thought that the more people staring into space or at a wall in Skyhold, the better.

Hmm...I don't even remember having a choice about it. I wonder if I managed to save them all.

There were a few people that seemed really hard to save, namely the apothecary and Seggritt, and one or two I never was able to. Lysette and Threnn on the other hand were very easy to save.

Oh yeah--I remember saving Seggritt, now that you mention it. The apothecary, I guess I didn't even realize we were able to save. I remember somebody talking about him not making it.

I would think the goal of "rescuing people" would be self-explanatory.
