Why do PC players always get the short end of the stick in Mass Effect?
To be fair to Bioware, as far as console ports go, the Mass Effect series has generally been handled well for the PC. That doesn't mean they shouldn't take it seriously and give us good scaling options that can take advantage of our high end hardware whilst not ignoring the guys with older PCs at the lower end of the spectrum. From a technical stand point the PC is superior in every way to any console and it would be nice if we could see significant differences between PC and Console versions when it comes to graphics and sound.
Firaxis recently said that the PC is in a 'Golden Age' for gaming and they're right, we are no longer the Red-headed Step Child of gaming platforms and many other developers are developing multi-platform games on the PC that recognise this. I think we can all agree that the most important thing we want is for Bioware to treat the PC with the same level of respect they treat the consoles and develop the best damn game they can make for the PC just as they'll be making the best damn game they can for the Console. At the end of the day, is that too much to ask?
