I ask because I notice that the 11/7/14 blog doesn't have him in there any more.

On November 10, 2014, this is what you saw:

http://web.archive.o...ext-mass-effect

This is what you see today:

http://blog.bioware....ext-mass-effect

Seems odd to erase him from an old blog.

Odd indeed. He was still there on 6/11/2015, he retweeted the ME:A trailer and his Twitter-bio still says "Lead Writer on the next @masseffect with BioWare Montreal.".

Hey, see it on the bright side. Maybe SuperMac can become lead writer now :P

Maybe Schlerf got fired or something? His latest tweets was something about working from home. Maybe he turned out to be a slacker?

I wouldn't worry too much, he's used his Twitter less than a month ago and he is still Bioware Lead Writer there.

SuperMac...lead writer...

*whispers* Hail Cerberus.

I think 'Sieg Hail Cerberus!' would be more accurate, seeing how they turned out in the last game.

I think if he got fired or something we'd know by now.

Really? I mean, usually firing involves damage control and stuff... I was about to use Kojima/Konami as reference but realized it was a terrible comparison lol.

Did anyone ever find out why his name isn't there anymore?

I'd like to know as well.  You'd think Bioware would want to issue some sort of statement, one way or the other.

No, though his removal from that blog can only mean that he's no longer working on Mass Effect. He either left on his own, was fired, or got shifted over to the new IP with Gaider.

No, he just recently joined Bioware as a writer. Prior to that he had written Halo 4.

The ending of Mass Effect 3 was written by Casey Hudson and Mac Walters. Casey Hudson now works for Microsoft and Mac Walters it the Creative Director for Andromeda.

He probably moved on to something bigger and/or better than Mass Effect.  Doesn't necessarily mean he was fired.

Halo 4 was ok.  I like Halo 1-3, Hated ODST, Reach was dumb.  And I hope 5 would be awesome!

As popular as Mass Effect is within the gaming sci-fi community, some people fail to realize, there are BIGGER games than Mass Effect.  Halo series has a much larger fan base than Mass Effect.
