Hi, I was wondering : do the melee bonusses (omni blade, strength enhacer etc. ) incrase the shields the juggernaut regernerates with the heavy melee? In other words do the shields regenerated depend on the damage heavy melee deals?
And if not, is there a reason to boost heavy melee as its dps is kind of crappy?
No, it does not. Shields gained from Heavy Melee is not tied towards melee damage. If it was, he'd be even more durable as a puggernaut. Maybe that would be a good thing. However, Voluses do gain more shields from their shield boost by giving them more power damage.

This is one of my least played classes, but I look to the turret and the occasional melee for shield restore. And of course, you know about the best defense....
Melee Jugg is the dumbest thing ever, I don't know why all the PUGs think it's good. The melee isn't really meant to do lots of damage, it's so you can temp-incap enemies (like phantoms!) or quickly get some shield-gate back. Use your guns/powers!

I personally like it with the javelin and very rarely use the melee, but I was curious to see if threre was a benefit gained from taking some melee damage
If you're deliberately playing a melee juggernaut and you are fully intending to lumber around the map force-choking everything to death then you might as well stack as many melee damage bonuses as possible, just like you would for any other melee kit; you can more than double your melee damage by doing so. However, even with all those bonuses it would still be faster to simply shoot the enemies instead.
