For the future DA title can we talk about the return of their black sclera. I thought it was odd to take away the option and left the qunari to look like giant horned humans instead of the distinct race they are. Thoughts?

Yeah it sucks. The dev just keeps changing stuff on a whim.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Bioware got Qunari right in DA2.

They were their own race in DA2. Exotic, avian, scary, and unique. They felt like their own race, instead of "big, bald humans with horns" which is the Qunari aesthetic that's present in Inquisition. :/

So having black around their irises instead of white is the big difference between being a "distinct race" and just "giant horned humans"?

And dwarves just look like short, stout humans and elves look like lithe, pointy-eared humans. What's your point?

And I wouldn't exactly call them "unique," since they're basically minotaurs without the fur or cloven feet.

In fact, if you want to talk about "not unique" I point you to Sten from DAO. In fact, all Qunari were just tan, white-haired, lilac-eyed giants in DAO. In my opinion, DA2 just went too far and made them too bestial and stylized. I think DAI did a good job dialing it back a notch while still keeping things like DA2's horns and darker skin tones and tougher, more grizzled, more animal-like appearances. Yet you complain that it's not "exotic" enough for you to gawk at?

Agreed, it's a weird and pointless thing to change. Especially with DA:I's more complex eye colour customization. You'd think if it's not mandatory, you'd at least have the option...

More options is (almost) never a bad thing. Given how we had the option to choose between horned and non-horned, I'd think it'd be within the realm of reason to include the black sclera in the future. Speaking a little more generally on Qunari appearances from DA2, I'd be curious to see how they would have handled IB or a female qunari with that particular aesthetic. While I liked the general appearance a lot, I did find it a touch aggravating how every qunari looked pretty much the same, facially speaking. Inquisition does, at the very least, offer us as wide a variety as we can imagine with the CC.

But yes, it would be better to have elements from DA2 return, methinks.

The removal of the caveman brow is far worse tbh.

I agree, the Qunari looked best in DA2.

I seem to have touched a nerve lol.

I like best the DAI Qunari, honestly. Finally they have different faces and horns and not only one!

Owever, I'd like back the black sclera as an option. I have a male Qunari I've wanted to be quite frightening, and a black scleara would have helped with the look. But for my female Qunati, that I wanted cute and elegant, in contrast with the stereotype of her race and tallness, I prefer no black sclera.

Qunari are more alien in DAI, at least the male, with their gorilla bodyes (at least the males). In DA2 where just painted tall guys with freaky identical faces.

Right behind you, OP. The black sclera contributed a lot to their fierce mystique. I miss it.

I liked DAO's qunari even better than in I :/

Some Qunari do look like Giant humans, but I agree they should bring it back

I do too... I'm amazed the qunari item pack didn't include eyes and horns and hair... especially for the price point and how broken the armor is.

I could be wrong, but I *think* I spotted a few different hair/horn variations on the Qunari enemies in the Trespasser trailer. This DLC could be our last, vain hope for more Qunari CC options.

All I want id a handful of new hair/horn options. Nothing special.

And is we don't get it... I'd honestly like to know what went so wrong with the Qunari CC that more hair/horn options weren't in the game or couldn't be added.
