She is just.. so balanced. 

 

On the one hand, she deals disgusting single target damage, on the other hand, if you play her impatiently (i.e. mess up her twin fan initiation), you get punished severely.

 

I also just love twin fan + death blow (if necessary), then refresh your stealth and move on to the next target. The whole flow just feels so god damn right. 

 

Her kit design reflects her identity perfectly -- she assassinate high priority target. Stage 4 incoming hordes of despair demon? no problem, Argent will take care of them. Getting rekt by those bolters? no problem, send in the assassin and kill dem slow-moving ass one by one. 

 

In comparison, my least favorite characters are probably Silent Sister and Reaver. SS is so ****** overpowered it's not even funny. There's no risk in playing her if you let your teammates take care of the shield guys. You just run in and smash buttons and everything dies. Reaver? well, you just smash button and everything dies.

I made this post after playing her on NM. Twin Fang + Deathblow pretty much kills every type of enemy. Now, I gotta admit, I haven't tried her on HB yet...

my brother suffers from the same condition... i call it "low tier hero-itis", its gotten to the point that playing what are considered the best classes makes him hate the game lmao. its kind of hilarious actually because when the duelist first came out he was loving the kit, but lo and behold when it started to seem like she was a tad bit overpowered he dropped her like a sack of bricks.

my stats are 60/90/90 for reference and I have hakkon dagger in off hand and savage thorn main hand.
On nightmare:
Knights are no problem to twin fangs deathblow dead.

Emissary with barrier got taken down by me in 3 seconds after I hit it with a hidden blades out of stealth flanking, jumped on it from behind with twin fangs, and finished it with one or two deathblows.

How can I do this? Looked like it hurt passive.

I took down an Earthshaker in less 5 seconds. Again hidden blades followed by twin fangs followed by deathblows.

A pride demon is taken quickly down if is isolated through that +100% damage passive. At that point again I hit it with hidden blades out of stealth followed by two deathblow and maybe an auto attack or two. Its dead. It should not get the chance to generate guard.

All that talk and no video. Besides, I was directing at the OP, not you or anyone else. Im sure it is possible to 1 shot with 1000 willpower and BIS gear with maxed out damage bonuses.

Playing overpowered classes makes for poor sport

 

It's pretty frustrating sometimes when you try something cool and realize it would have been more effective to just spam Bolt

PS: She's fun in HB too when you have high level. Low level isn't nearly as fun, but once you have all your cards via I was never here and all the damage buffs / abilities: Super super fun.

 

Seriously, Assassin is very fun. High skill / high gear requirement for high difficulty, but super super fun. The skill and promotion requirement has been vastly lowered with the stealth buff though.

on pc just drag n drop weapon with cursor where I want it. master race. lol 9-10K deathblows eazy 19K damage in 1 second.

Just select the dagger and equip in the off hand .
Select the dagger then select the hand in which you want to equip ..

Yes you can select the hand as well

Very strange that it auto-equips for me.

I'll try messing around with more daggers and see if it lets me.  Been running Hakkon/Savage for a while now.  Friend asks me to try equip offhand cause his wasn't letting him.  Sure enough mine wouldn't either.  Very strange.

Yup Hakkon autoselected mainhand. But with the other purple daggers I have tried with I can select if it should be equiped in main or off hand. 
Really strange.

Usually, I'm too lazy to labor through the Xbox GameDVR and transfer it to Onedrive. But, this was a crazy claim by Porky...and it's like the 10th post involving buying a free game...someone deserves a free game.

 

Just for reference Porky, I was only level 12...Assassin is beast mode with the Hakkon dagger and new stealth upgrade. OP was dead on.
